I just bought up a few really cheap libraries at Sound Iron. They are described as Full kontakt 5.5 or later. I have Kontakt 5.8 installed and they load in demo mode. Can not find any info about this on Sound Irons site. Anybody know how to unlock demo mode on Sound Iron stuff?

You shouldnt get a demo mode unless they had serial numbers, AFAIR. Have you registered any serial numbers into Native Access? Do they show there?
Which libraries?
Which libraries?

I've never had a Soundiron library need authorizing. and the samples are not the NI compressed into nkx form, they're .wavs. No serial numbers to enter into NA. I have five things installed, a couple that aren't.
Here's what the installation should look like: only thing I can even imagine to fuckup is missing resource files. but this isn't a normal problem. Delete Kontakt preferences and/or reinstall.

some do, though, ie those that need it to work with Kontakt Player.

Thank you for your attention. Iron pack is one. It was only 2 bucks so I got curious. https://soundiron.com/collections/iron- ... etal-toneswhyterabbyt wrote: Sun Nov 26, 2023 12:59 pm You shouldnt get a demo mode unless they had serial numbers, AFAIR. Installation is a serial you enter in their download tool, then it installs. They write there is no serial to enter in Native Access. It should work on Kontakt 5 and above.

(But yeah, anything -else- shouldnt be in any kind of demo mode.)

Hmmm, that's odd; Iron Pack range should be fine, definitely no authorisation needed. Ive got original versions of all of them, and have been updating as the new versions come out; I dont even run the installer on the same machine as I use, I just copy from a shared drive and it works fine. Try what Jan suggested - delete (or better for safety, rename or move) preferences...GearNostalgia wrote: Sun Nov 26, 2023 4:13 pm

I think I found it in, deleted and tried again... did not work. Tried to reinstall Kontakt and tried again... did not work... weird...
This is how mine looks.
Good thing it was just 2 bucks... can live with that loss... thought about some other of their libs... but nah...

The Preferences you want are located at your user name/Library. it's hidden by default, to get to it you go to the Finder menu "Go" holding option key down, scrolling to "Library" and that directory is revealed.
the normally visible 'Macintosh Hard Drive'/Library/Preferences looks the same as far as Native Instruments plists goes, but the one(s) to delete in troubleshooting are the your user name/Library.
Contact them, they're pretty responsive. on a Sunday, maybe not immediately. I can't even imagine what the problem is. I've copied over from my google drive directly whenever it's a new machine sitch, their modi operandi amounts to the least intrusive or difficult process as anything in the Kontakt ecosphere. They don't play the full NI game, the samples are all open, for example.
So, I bought one o' the $2 jobs, Children's Choir looks pretty nifty. Ran the installer, loaded an .nki from it in Kontakt (6) and it's all a go. Sumpin' wrong there, I must say.

I'm aware. There's more than I assumed, by a lot. So I bought Requiem Light at half-price. I must've used it before somewhere, I know it fairly well. It's called "Light" because when Tonehammer split up there were ownership factors resulting in that appended to the name. It's not that light.whyterabbyt wrote: Sun Nov 26, 2023 4:13 pmsome do, though, ie those that need it to work with Kontakt Player.

There's a fair amt. of 'effects', whispers and shouts and clusters...

Thank you for the input. I have contacted them and we will see where it ends. Right now I wonder if may be Kontakt itself that has locked into demo mode due to some conflict with Kontakt Player 7. I have been holding of updating to Kontakt7 cause it seems like there are issues with Mac M1 Sonoma and I have it on my old Komplete 11 and there really is not so much more in Komplete that I feel I benefit to update, but maybe it is time to update now.

The problem is definitely your installation of Kontakt. that one would def load in Demo mode on K7 Player.
I'm using Kontakt 7.7 on Sonoma on the entry-level M1. There are no problems. (I have 6 & 7, I have snapshots for things for 6 I ain't gon' save in 7. I only have 7 for new products.)

I have found out what is going on.
https://support.native-instruments.com/ ... -M-Systems
It seems like Kontakt 5,8 does not work on M1 so I had to update upgrade. Good thing it is a sale now. Just updated and now it works. So 2 buck Library plus 49 bucks update... not so cheap after all
