Not the answer you are probably looking for, but I'd recommend getting Tai Chi Lite if you can spend $29. It is a great sounding reverb for sure. :)

You can get a further 7 days demo after the 3 week one has expired - it's on the demo download pages

Tai Chi is not a Lexicon-type emaultion or anything per se, it's an FDN reverb (different type of algorithm), and it has a bunch of features, but it's main core signature feature is it's chorusing engine, which includes a range of options, and can go significantly beyond the kind of chorusing in typical Lexicon tails, so you can get into sound design territory, especially in conjunction with some other features.

But as always with these things, reverbs are super subjective, and the only way to know whether it's something that you like, will use, and fills in gaps in your existing toolset, or merely doesn't do much different to what you already have is to try them out.

when you upgrade from Tai Chi Lite to Tai Chi, do you have to surrender your license?

Tai Chi license unlocks Tai Chi Lite as well, so no worries.

thanks

I bought Lite last year and produced an entire album using only this as reverb, so I grew quite fond of it :)

Wow you guys were right… those loyalty discounts are addictive. Once I demoed the verbs and picked out the ones I wanted, I spent like 30 min going through the discount spreadsheet. I picked up Cinematic Rooms Pro, Lustrous Plates, and Tai Chi, but the problem now is that I get about 60% off any purchase, so I want to get the others because they feel so cheap! I don’t need them though! I want Seventh Heaven Pro, but I would probably use it for the same thing as Cinematic Rooms. I also want HD Cart because I find the interface easier to use than other Lexicon style verbs, and the sound is great too. It would only be $40! And if I buy HD Cart, my discount on Seventh Heaven Pro is even better!

I feel like I’ve fallen down a well and nobody can hear my calls for help. I can only hear the reverb from my voice echoing off the walls of the well, and it sounds beautiful.

Heh, indeed! You can always leave the others for now, and then maybe pick them up in next year's BF sale as something to look forward to. But yeah, the more you get, the discounts are exceptional and move quickly into the no-brainer category.

Similarly to others I've ended up buying almost everything. HD Cart has turned out to be a nice synthy-sounding character reverb which can have a lot of movement.
Every day takes figuring out all over again how to f#ckin’ live.

Same here. I picked up Cinematic Rooms Pro, Tai Chi, Illusion and Lustrous Plates (I have the Slate sub but just in case it disappears or I cancel it, I still want the reverb). I already had Seventh Heaven Pro so I'm pretty well covered in the Liquidsonics territory. I'm not interested in HD Cart at this point but maybe some day.

But, you can get it extremely cheap now. Why not spend another 10-20 bucks…cmon. Buy now.

That kind of thinking is what got me into this mess!

I have all of them apart from Seventh Heaven and they all sound wonderful. I pretty much only use Liquidsonics reverbs on my projects and sometimes IK’s Sunset Sound when I’m after more character.

Random synth plug-in (Beatsurfing VST) meets a huge LiquidSonic/Reverb Foundry Tai Chi reverb, video starts dry.
