Nah it's been done enough.egbert101 wrote: Wed Aug 30, 2023 3:46 pm Maybe GForce will finally take on the Prophet 5 after the impOSCar3 update?
If they did another classic I would bet it would be one of the other synths gforce has done a video about. Like the cs-80 or jupiter-8.

Probably soon. As for CS-80 or Jupiter-8, yeah I remember Dave Spiers being all over a CS-80 on an episode of Sonicstate, it's just that although it's a beautiful classic synth, it's a bit niche in terms of usage, whereas everyone has time for a Prophet sound in their music. I'd be all over a Jupiter-8 though.

what's so bad about 2 that makes it necessary?

Whats perfect that can't be improved?
What so bad about being excited on new features?

The Imp2 browser isn't great. Their new ones are much better.
V2 has a couple sizes but they arent' ideal for all monitor sizes. Their new UIs are freely resizable.
V2 has no VST3, the update surely will be like the rest.
And they will no doubt add other enhancements too.
For example, maybe they would add the per control modulation like Oddity and Minimonsta? Some kind of expanded modulation I'm sure.
There is room for improvement in the user custom waveforms. It was vintage style simple additive, maybe they'll add custom shapes or something.
I'm sure they will add new effects like the others as well.

the vst3 thing i dont notice anywhere, i just install whatever comes.
i know one day it will be more relevant, but at the min my hosts support 2 or 3.
mpe also seems to be a big thing, i personally dont have a mpe controller, but im sure a few folk would like that?

probably user error but any ideas when in my Bitwig chain I get the following problem please:
Imposcar 2 - Blackhole
works fine until you change a patch within Imposcar 2 - either via up down arrows or in the patch browser - you then get no sound output (although Bitwig can detect some audio going on) but nothing output
delete Imposcar 2 from chain - add back and the sound is back until you change a patch
same other way round - change patches in Imposcar 2 all fine - add Blackhole to chain - as soon as you change a patch in Imposcar 2 - no audio ?

Can't figure out what I'm doing wrong, but can't get the patches loaded into it. Manual says it's a simple drag and drop to the front panel but that's not resulting in anything but a blank browser and the same default sound. What am I missing here?

To be honest I've never heard of that way of importing presets. I just put the folder of .fxp files into the correct file path. On PC it's Program Files > GForce > impOSCar2 > Patches > InstrumentBBFG# wrote: Mon Nov 27, 2023 7:29 pmAnyone?BBFG# wrote: Sat Nov 25, 2023 9:33 am Can't figure out what I'm doing wrong, but can't get the patches loaded into it. P.S. You can find some extra patches in my sig, which are more up-to-date than the ones I have on the GForce site.
