So now Vanjac has an improved fork which seems to fix all that was wrong with Aodix which was what Arguru was working on back in 2007 when his sad & untimely death ensued-

For me testing looking real good for this great piano-roll tracker that's a 'tickless' environment. You can have up to 255 patterns & each can be any length or even a single pattern for whole song if you are monolithic in thought.
Switching between patterns is done via 'pattern calls' which can be a whole pattern to switch to or any segment using markers.
I have tried every combo piano-roll tracker out there & Aodix is the most fluid with ingenious vertical piano roll-

Quantizing can be free or any kinda split including triplets, sextuplets, etc..
Unlike unsightly trackers that open up more note lanes for chords you simply use the same space in Aodix & pound out chords like normal, The extra notes pattern info is simply stacked ontop of each other, easily accessed if needed. Same with Events, MIDI, ETC-

Aodix has no internal Sampler as Arguru reasoned that there were so many VSTi samplers being made no need to 'build-in' another. So Aodix is VSTi-VST ONLY & ASIO ONLY.
This is Vanjac's Aodix 'Enhanced Version' as you see on the titlebar. Skin is from the long-defunked Audiobolics site-

Piano Roll Sector can be minimized down to one octave or dragged out this far-

Hookups are machine style which is easy & simple to comprehend-

And that's just the highlights, If you are looking for a simpler & less stagnant method of composition as opposed to Renoise here it is, plus it's completely free. The concept of it is sound & ingenious.
