Steinberg Download Assistant showing a Cubase version I don't own

Random question, but maybe someone here has experienced this or can clarify it. I opened the Steinberg Download Assistant yesterday to check for updates to my Wavelab 11 and noticed that it listed Cubase 10 and Cubase LE 10.5 as updates in the My Products tab. I have a license for Cubase 9.5, but have never purchased an upgrade (I haven't used it in years) and have no authorization/serial number for any later versions, nor are 10/10.5 licenses showing on my eLicenser. I checked MySteinberg and old emails to see if I had somehow purchased an update or maybe was granted a freebie or something, but I don't see anything - it only shows my Wavelab 11 and Cubase 9.5. Also, the last time I checked for updates earlier this year, the Download Assistant did not show Cubase 10/LE 10.5 in my products, so it was apparently added recently. At first I thought maybe Steinberg wanted me to download it as a demo, but that doesn't seem to make any sense, since the latest version available for purchase is 13. Any thoughts?

Did you buy 9.5 so late that it was free upgrade to 10, maybe?
- withing grace period?

But your dongle most probably show 9.5 unless you did the update too.

I would go into the MySteinberg account with browser, not trust download assistant.
When I ran Cubase last 2018, download assistant was a joke.

I check my account a couple of weeks ago, and now it is divided into Steinberg licenses, the new dongle free and the older eLicenser.

It's normal. ;) It's a bit all over the place. Always has been.

When it comes to download managers I find XLN Audio might be the best I ever saw.

If Steinberg is still a mess regarding this, that's bad.

I have dozens of things in my Download Manager I don't have a license for.
One of them is Nuendo 13.

No, I upgraded to v9.5 shortly after it was released and I never got any sort of authorization or registration codes for v10.

I'm assuming it's just as others have already noted - the Download Assistant is apparently just screwy.

Thanks for all the replies!

It might be running off the same database as MySteinberg did. That was quite a mess too, and showed products I don't own anymore. Luckily, that was not the base for converting the eLicenser licenses to the new Steinberg Licensing, otherwise I would have been really screwed...

If you're in for a laugh, visit MySteinberg, and click to show your eLicenser based licenses. If it's as messed up for you as it is for me.

I am surprised to see the phrase "e-licenser" mentioned here.

Haven't need that for WL for over a year now. Do other products still need it?

Yes, his older Cubase versions use eLicenser. Only Wavelab 11.2, and Cubase from version 12 on don't need it.

Other SB products use elicenser unfortunately. Halion 6 and lots of paid libraries for Halion and Groove Agent too.

The whole ecosystem is a bit of a mess, as I've got various licenses scattered across elisencer, soft elisencer, and the new system.

Plus 3 separate accounts/passwords for main account, shop, forums.

Then there's the handful of manager apps: content, download, activation, elisencer.

Hopefully one day they can end up with a single app/system to handle it all.
Reason do this pretty well with their Companion app.
