"Into The Breach" was inspired by a Mike Mangini drum library I picked up for Black Friday. I wrote something a little on the "heavy" side with some twists. The piece features a Touchguitar U8 8 string guitar, guitar, LinnStrument (bass, synth), organ, piano, and Zendrum.

The first thing that strikes me is the underlying rhythmic guitar riff. In any case - for me -
that is more characteristic of this instrumental than the drum sound. The solos give
the piece a chic jazzy character. And you composed a beautiful ending.
Overall, the instrumental has a somewhat excited, driving character - something to
wake up to in the morning. Very nicely composed, well done!

Something about the sound choices and tonal center of the track don't really mesh with my ears, but that said, I still think it's a quality track. A lot of surprising changes and inventiveness. Nice work

Thanks for the constructive and kind comments - I struggled a bit with the arrangement on this one but ultimately came down with this version. Sometimes I go back and revisit the choices.

I think it may just come down to my personal taste in music, I really don't have anything I would specifically criticize.jcub wrote: Fri Dec 01, 2023 5:39 pm Thanks for the constructive and kind comments - I struggled a bit with the arrangement on this one but ultimately came down with this version.
