Some have indeed build in midi but the majority uses envelope followers , and that's how it was mostly done in the old days .
Here's audio realism ABL going through arturia ms 20 (free) , the envelope follower modulates the cut off

And here ABL3 going through the drop
IN both cases abl3 cutoff remains completely open , what's verry important is a difference in dynamics levels -peaks ( using accent ) of the input signal , so the evelope follower has something to turn into a useful curve

This - not to mention that with polyphonic synths the issue increases most significantly. (I.e. at most you can achieve some kind of quasi-paraphony)

I own The Legend, but I don't see this one available as an effect in Studio One 4 on Windows. :?
If i recall its a separate download from your synapse account product downloads
Thank you, but I just checked my account and it's definitely not there. Guess I should reach their support.
Ok, i just checked it should install in general as FX version aswel, there is no aditional download. I think there might be installed to folder that Studio one doesnt see or dont know :)

I like arturia ms20,but doesn't work on most of my tracks.
To my taste ms20 isn't right polishing filter,kind of dark,tense and raw - opposite to what i prefer as finalizer.
Dual vcf has over 60 models,some have mood or something - 70s,80s,90s such stuff.
Would use arturia ms20 if a ms20 of a synth isn't convincing enough and add it on top to add more character.
Actually did try it once on sm1 serial mode - ms20 via ms2 via arturia ms20.
I guess it sounds like ms20 hahahahaha :):):)

NOt just beautifull but really the best analogue modelled filter plugin out there .
People can have different opinions and preferences , but when someone says they don't like the drop ,they just don't know how an analogue filter sounds .
THe drop is beyond amazing

The only filter I managed to work properly (using a transient detector) was a filter in Arturia Motion. That worked nicely. Defenetelly a good implementation. Motion has midi in too, but I don't know how to set it up in FL-Studio.

However, I was not able to do the same with the Arturia standalone MS-20, for some reason. I will try again.

You can't put ms20 on everything,it's like to put salt on everything,for example on a sweet cake.
Different filters on same track ,give different color and mood.
MS20 give what ms20 have to give and when it gives it right way,it's amazing,just there is a lot more interesting types man can use in production.
I don't care is it exact replica or somewhere around specific hardware,if it's good and work well inside the mix,that's good news:)
Example of MS20 via MS20 in serial mode via external Arturia MS20 slowly opening,then closing the filter,both synth filters are 12db,LP cut around 900hz with no resonance - no idea how close or far away from original ms20 the sound is,just using default preset from arturiia with slowest sync rate to add an aggression,cause original sound miss a lot of character :

My favourites are The Drop, it has a fair few models:-

KSM = Custom Sallen Key
AMU = Custom ARP Odyssey mk 1
OSR = Oxford Synthesizer Company OSCar
WSP = EDP Wasp
MS1 = Korg MS20 Rev. 1
MS2 = Korg MS20 Rev. 2
SMP = Custom MS20 Rev. 2 / OSCar
JPR = Roland Jupiter 8 / Juno 6
SHR = Roland SH2 / SH101
PRD = Moog Prodigy

The filters in Reaktor are also pretty cool. There are some nice ones in the included ZDF macros, I’ve included them in my blocks pack in the user library.
