Movement, Portal and Thermal alternatives?

These are great plugins i already own. Now i'm searching for alternatives to get more inspiration and hopefully get even something better.

Any suggestions?

Fragments is similar to Portal, i don't have Movement so i am not sure about this one.
Thermal is unique, a lot of things under the hood, not just distortion, probably FabFilter Saturn 2.

Silo, Rift, Morph EQ, Shaperbox, Filtershaper XL, Infiltrator, Shade, Gatekeeper, Multi-Pass (maybe), Love, Kombinat Tri, Replicant, Efx Motions, Tantra, Bleass Slow Machine, Digitalis, DAW Cassette, Filterscape, HY-Filter, and maybe some other buffer shuffling plugins.

Maybe give more details on your use case? I'm really like EFx Motions for giving movement to electronic bass lines.

For distortion (Thermal) Check out Rift by Minimal Audio. There's also Coldfire by Arturia that's fairly new.

My recommendations for all 3 would be Arturia too.

Movement - Efx Motions
Thermal - Coldfire
Portal - Efx Fragments

Very similar in workflow, with great modulation options. Yet, also very easy to get different results to the Output stuff. They all compliment each other very well, no clear overlap. So it's still easy to find yourself getting different results switching between them, even though they're all capable of the same things.

Bit of a shame that Efx Motions isn't in the FX Collection package yet though, so you'd have to get that indiviually, or wait for V5.

There has been a lot of recent threads discussing all these various alternative tools. Basically look for threads on granular effects (Portal), saturation/distortion effects (Thermal) and multi-effects (Movement).

The previously mentioned Arturia effects are good. As is Rift.

Portal - Glow by Lese, Autochroma by Imagiro, Dawesome Love, Grainspace by Audiority.

Thermal - Motion: Harmonic by Excite Audio, Heavyocity - Fury (Haven't tried this one, only seen the videos)

Movement - Not quite the same, but Stutter Edit 2.

Also rec: Frahm by Lese, Other Desert Cities by Audio Damage, and (I've only demoed this one) Permut8 by Sonic Charge.

Minimal Audio is the dev who made these plugins, they're just gettin started. All their stuff is amazin.
