Free upgrade:
Only those who purchased Icarus2 through our own website (www.tone2.com) after November the 1st 2023 will get the upgrade to Icarus3 for free.
The upgrade will not be free for licenses purchased from 3rd party resellers or those who got Icarus1 for free with CM magazine .

Where will it be available?
We currently got no plans to sell Icarus3 outside of our own webshop. The main reason is the high fees that best service takes from us.

Do I need to upgrade?
The upgrade is also fully optional. Noone is forced to do it. If you don't like it simply don't buy it. The existing licenses will continue to work for an unlimited time. We do not use a subscription system or a cloud.

Who is allowed to upgrade?
Anyone who owns a valid Icarus1 or 2 license. This does include the CM version.

What keys do I get if I upgrade?
If you purchase the upgrade now you get a key for Icarus2 and the upcoming Icarus3.

In your case you won't have to buy it for the full price again. You will be able to upgrade with a discout for the same price as nearly all others through our own webshop. Since Best Service takes huge fees from us Icarus3 will most likely not be distributed by Best Service. The upgrade will be only availabe in our own webshop.
The final prices will be annouced as soon as the product is released.

The product is still under development and the feature set is still not final. The price of the product will be annouced when it is finished.
A list of the new features that already have been finished can be found in the Icarus3 thread.
The upgrade price most likely will stay the same.

Kindly consider in pricing the difference between someone who bought Icarus 2 and upgrades to 3 vs someone who got Icarus 1.6 and upgrades to 3.

Truthfully either way I will upgrade to show support and that I do think Icarus is the best of the lot of your synths, but it would be nice to know that those who have invested financially get a little something off. Even a $10 off coupon.
