Degrading loop vst?

Is there a plugin that generates a degrading loop, similar to, say, The Disintegration Loops by William Basinski? I've used the sound-on-sound mode of the Strymon El Cap to do this in the past, but would like to use a software version if there is one. (It could mean a looper that allows a third party "lofi" plugin inside a virtual fx loop.)

Thanks for any info.

If your DAW has the ability to chain plugins and create loops, you might get it to do this for you. It might require using the degrader before the echo plugin, and then looping some of the output of the echo back into the input of the degrader. Apple Logic has the best chance of doing this because it inherited the "Environment" feature from the late, lamented, Logic Audio, where you can more or less draw the connections you want, as I recall. I've done this in Reaper, but it's more annoying there. The other way to work this is to use a plugin that hosts plugins, such as the DDMF Metaplugin or the free Kushview Element. I haven't used either for this specific purpose, but you could get demo copies, I think.

Vallhalla delay is awesome for that kind of stuff.
Set delay time to a couple of bars , feedback just above 100% , dial in your favourite mode ..and play with the saturation and or age parameter .
Digital lo-fi mode is awesome

Setting the 'Tape Length' to its near maximum and tweaking the tape head(s) azimuth and quality with GSi's GS-201 mkII ( https://www.genuinesoundware.com/?a=showproduct&b=45 ) give instant Basinski-ness

Thanks for the replies, will check these out!

Valhalla Delay is a good option but what you'd really want is a looper with insert effects and degradation/overwriting of each pass.

Outside of the DAW this is something that could be rigged up in VCV Rack presumably, or more directly in one of Giorgio Sancristoforo's apps.

MSuperLooper has an entire suite of Melda effects that can be placed in the loop’s feedback path. Plus, it’s a great looper.

Totally forgot I bought that one at launch price! Thanks for the reminder, yeah I'd say this one is spot on, even mentions it in the description:
Inspired by musical acts such as The Caretaker, Tim Hecker and William Basinski, Recurse features a “Degradation” processing unit where multiple smaller effects work together to simulate various forms of degradation caused by physical phenomena.

The percentage for loop it's might be what you're looking for as percentage of integration for a loop, it sure is fun to play with

A while ago someone posted a suggestion for this and I found a really good one and I had to run and now I can't find it. It was pretty simple but you could put various effects inside the loop feedback chain. Help!
