Just 12 and 24db for UB-XA filter choices, like the original.

Rumours are now that it's going for $999. To be honest, I don't appreciate the constant teasing by Behringer over their products and then not releasing them. But for those still interested and can afford it, this price point might tempt you.

That would be a lot of synth with Poly AT for 999....I sure as hell don't need another analogue poly, but......!
X32 Desk, i9 PC, S88MK3, S1, BWS, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6 Pro3, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone II, OP1-F, OPXY, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

I'll jump when (if) the UB-Xa is actually available.
At $1k, it's not much of a risk.

I’ll jump in a year or so when I start seeing the desktop versions on Craigslist for $600.

If the full version really is $999 then I'd imagine the desktop version is something like $500. Although I would assume it would drop voices down to 8 but then maybe not. Even so, I had my eye on the UB-X (not UB-Xa) Desktop, and so that's probably years away.

Oh, I didn't catch that the keyboard version will be $999 - that would be an insane deal! If that's the case and a new desktop is in the $500-ish range, I'd definitely entertain the thought of buying a new one. But since I'm currently happy (and stuffed to the brim) with my current h/w synths, I'm not in a hurry to buy one and would still probably wait until used ones start hitting the street.egbert101 wrote: Thu Nov 30, 2023 4:07 pm If the full version really is $999 then I'd imagine the desktop version is something like $500. At this price it could replace my SQ80 for the large keyboard Poly Afterouch slot.
But the SQ80 only cost me $300AUD, and it has 3 oscillators, good modulation ability, and hybrid sound.
Although I'm going to wait a while and see how the fan noise, general background noise and heat of 16 oscillators fair, and the general reliability and unit variation plays out.... and wether the keybed feels any good.
The SQ80 keybed will never wear out as it uses optical sensors.

At $1k it's an instabuy for me, even though I don't particularly like Obies. I've been dithering over a big poly analogue for years and I've been doing my own head in over it, so this clinches it. TBH I don't care what foibles it has at that price, the bonuses far outweigh them. The fan can sound like an F16 taking off from an aircraft carrier as far as I'm concerned...I can always put headphones on.
I'll be a bit surprised if they can release at that price, but the Pro800 ended up at an unbelievable price, so....

If that price point is true then it's a 100% guaranteed instant buy from me.. except I can't fit the damn keyboard anywhere! So it'll have to be the desktop version for me.

I thought $1k sounded unbelievable, but $1200 is still a-fkn-mazing. No pre-orders anywhere yet here in NZ, but as soon as they do, I'm going to jump. 1st time I'll ever have pre-ordered anything musical. I'm going to start rearranging my synth stands already to make room, might have to build a big stand for a project that's been on the backburner (very limited availability here). I suspect they'll charge 》NZ$2k here, bastards

Andertons has the UB-Xa on pre-order at £899
https://www.andertons.co.uk/behringer-ub-xa
and say stock due 20th January
If there is going to be a desktop unit that surfaces eventually got to think it’ll be around £500 or cheaper which would be pretty incredible for a 16 voice analogue poly.

Yep, it's true, that's a pretty impressive price point. People are going to lose their minds. But so far, still no recent demos, not a thing, just a few impressive demos going back a year or so.WatchTheGuitar wrote: Fri Dec 01, 2023 7:28 pm Andertons has the UB-Xa on pre-order at £899
