Hi,
I’m a long term Cubase user of over 30 years and have always found it to be a very stable program. However, I went to load Cubase 12 for work earlier and it keeps freezing every time I try to do this!? It gets as far as vstconnect.dll and the. freezes!? I am using a Windows 11 PC.
Why has this suddenly started happening and what do I need to do to fix this?

I have the same situation and many others (used to be Win10 now Win 11), I sent the Dump files to Steinberg, no updates helped, I don't use it lately. I don't know how Cubase13 is, I don't think I'll upgrade to it. If anyone knows a solution I would be interested!

Hi everyone. I found out what the issue was! Steinberg updated their Download Assistant just over a week ago and because I hadn't updated mine yet, Cubase was freezing when loading!
I updated the Download Assistant and everything is working perfectly again!

this is a bit interesting, what is the connection between dowload assistant and cubase startup?
