Got an early Christmas present. I ordered it on Oct. 24, it arrived today.
It's the shizz. It brings a guitar to life like no digital reverb I've used.

My new Surfybear Metal spring reverb, a Lennon Casino, into Tonex. Pure bliss.

Nope. There,s a pedal Uncle E recommended, and I was going to go for that, until I saw someone else mention Surfybear. So, 'hmmmm, what's a Surfybear when 'E's at 'ome?' I didn't even know real reverb tanks were still made and mass-marketed.
And I agree: no substitute for the real thing. I've tried as many reverbs on guitar as there are current reverb threads, and for a real spring sound, and therefore a real Fender tube amp sound, you need one of these. It brings the guitar to life. Even my Missus could hear it, and loved it.

Years ago, I tried learning to play the guitar but didn't have the free time to do it right so I gave up.
Now that I have more of it, I decided to start again and treated myself to a Martin 000Cjr-10E. It's very comfortable and it sounds great!

I bought Soundtoys Tremulator for 29€. Surfytrem won't come until my birthday, and if this is good enough, maybe I won't want it.
Even got the machine iLok thingy going without a hassle.

I got a year subscription earlier this year and spent a lot of hours on it. Guthrie Trapp, Jack Ruch, and Andy Timmons have some excellent courses.

If I were to go all-in with online guitar courses, it would probably be Tim Pierce. The guy's got a list of album credits as long as my arm, maybe longer, and the dude can effing play. I don't particularly care for the guy, though.
The thing stopping me is that I'm too lazy and unfocused at this point of my life.

He's a helluva player. I watched a lot of free youtube with him. I don't know that I've actually learned that much to be honest.

Have you watched Guthrie Trapp at all? He's a Nashville session musician who does everything except heavy rock. He hammers home a set of basic concepts but his ability to apply those concepts is on another level.

This is important, sometimes their ability to teach is more important than what’s actually being taught. Paul Gilbert is a great in this way. He presents new concepts and gets you to implement them in your own style of playing, even if you’re not shredding.

Waiting on the new vOL pedal (addition to the Virtual Jeff, so that the whammy arm acts as a volume controller). Also plan on getting the MOHO, which is the all-in-one Fuzz, by the same company (Kernom) that made the RIDGE, which I have.

Just got Cabinetron ($59 on sale). Amazing stuff! Best IR loader, I suspect. Takes up to 8 cabinets. You can assign unique characteristics, EQ the thing, create a balance among the cabs (if more than 1), there's a doubler, a 'room' ambience, tone matching, etc. You can import your own IRs and do some customization. You then can export into different formats, and load them into your hardware, etc. Working on a review/demo.
