Well I love this synth so I'm happy to see it continuing to be updated. Was instantly turned off by the "THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING" text in the YT preview, though. Absolutely detest that kind of desperate baiting BS, but I supppose that's the era we live in...

1. LFO tempo sync doesn't work when transport is not running.
We apologize for any inconvenience this issue may have caused. Our development team is aware of this problem, and we are actively working on a solution to ensure that LFO tempo sync functions correctly regardless of the transport state. We appreciate your patience in the meantime.
2. Tooltip for LFO Rate doesn't show a note value in tempo sync mode.
The missing note value information in the tooltip is a valid point, and we will work on adding this feature in a future update. Providing clear and informative tooltips is important for our users, and we thank you for pointing out this oversight.
3. Push button behavior.
The Push button only works under certain conditions, IIRC with the 12dB filter only. We will make sure that this behavior is documented clearly in our user manual and that users are aware of the filter type dependency for the Push button to function as intended.
Thanks for your patience! Your feedback is helping us improve OB-Xd. Stay tuned for updates, and don't hesitate to reach out with any more thoughts or issues. Really appreciate your support in the discoDSP community!

I know Push works with 12 dB mode only. We have it implemented in Surge, and the resonance peak is much more pronounced in Push mode. I'm saying I hear no difference in behavior of 12 dB filter when Push is enabled in OB-Xd. Something is not connected properly there.
Maybe make the Push button semitransparent if 24 dB mode is enabled, to signify it's not available in that mode? You could do the same for BP button. In fact, the Mix knob should be renamed to Pole in 24 dB mode, since it's not doing passband blending in that mode.
Another thing: the Tune parameter tooltips should show semitone values with down to 1 cent resolution. Currently it's rounding the value to 10 cents, which is not super useful. Would be really nice to see cents resolution (for example: -0.23 semitones, not -0.2 semitones as it is right now).
Similarly, the tooltip for Keytrack parameter should be 0-100, for consistency with other similar tooltips.

Right click in the empty parts of the GUI to get the context menu with various options there.

Saving to slot saves in the loaded FXB directly. Saving to disk makes a new FXB file in the Documens/discoDSP/OB-Xd (3) folder.
This is also a bit weird. If it's saving a preset, it should save a FXP file, not FXB. Another bug?

To transpose the OCT range into a 12-semitone range, hold the SHIFT key while using the mouse. For transposing by a single semitone, hold the Option key on macOS or the Alt key on Windows/Linux. To switch to the cent range, use the Control key.EvilDragon wrote: Fri Dec 01, 2023 11:12 am the Tune parameter tooltips should show semitone values with down to 1 cent resolution. Additionally, the issue with saving presets has been identified as a bug. This will be rectified in the upcoming update, ensuring that presets are correctly saved as FXP files.

For detailed guidance and resolution of these issues, we suggest reaching out to the technical support team through their contact form at https://www.discodsp.com/contact/. They should be able to provide the necessary assistance and clarifications.Vortifex wrote: Fri Dec 01, 2023 11:43 am Thanks for the update. Looks like I'm going to have to learn how to use the presets because I've been using FL to save them instead but when I load them in version 3 it switches the synth to the previous version.
There's nothing in the manual about saving presets or banks. How do I do it? The process seems quite mysterious. When I tweak a preset and select save to disk it just vanishes and can't be found anywhere. When I click save to slot it automatically overwrites the current preset instead of letting me choose a free slot somewhere. Neither option lets me name the preset.
What is the difference between saving to disk and saving to slot? Pressing the disk button changes the presets that appear but I can't work out what the point of it is.
How do I create my own bank? There's no option on the synth for it.

Why is the crossmod routing stil osc 1--->2 , while on the original it's vice versa ?
I know osc1-->2 is more usefull ( since osc 2 is also sync slave ) but still ...an option to switch between both

This is not at all what I am talking about. I am talking about DISPLAY VALUE in the tooltip (and host automation), not mouse dragging resolution. I would like the tooltip to show the cents precision, not deca-cents. So instead of "-0.1" I would like it to have two digits of precision, "-0.01".discoDSP wrote: Fri Dec 01, 2023 5:06 pmTo transpose the OCT range into a 12-semitone range, hold the SHIFT key while using the mouse. It will help with more precise finetuning.
