Don't spread the Behringer propaganda. What you just said above, is what BEHRINGER is saying about influencers and reviewers, and as far as I can tell (having some contact with a few people in the industry), that is not at all the case. They have been especially vocal lately when they got caught lying (yet again) about what some influencers have said or haven't. So they are projecting and going on the defensive. Don't help them by spreading the lies.

The real reason Behringer is being avoided by most reviewers/influencers is because they are incredibly litigious and aggressive. They most definitely on of the biggest douchebags in the industry and don't have any problems literally destroying the image and life of small time youtubers or even individual people without any reach or influence at all.

If you support Behringer by purchasing their products, which I personally have done on multiple occasions, it is still good for your own karma to acknowledge what a humongous asshole the company is within the industry. Lets not kid ourselves here. Behringer are not in it for the "good of the people" in any way shape or form. They are a parasitical, sociopathic company run by a psychopath.. pretty much like any other massive successful tech company in this day and age.

Just my two cents.

They are most definitely trying to deflect the latest crop of negative press they got. In true Behringer fashion. They've done similar stunts in the past. It's all deflection and trying to influence optics.

Just like Moog did with hyping up that the company was being owned by their workers since Moog where so kind to give them 49% of it's shares which means nothing since you need to have minimum 50% when there are 2 shareholders.

Yeah, there are no angels in the synthesizer industry. But there are a few geniuses.

Interesting they’ve stuck the price up £100 in a week. Inflation’s gone mad, I’m getting my wheelbarrow as I may need to pay a loaf of bread later.

Are you safe?

Be interested in if you do get it from oz, and what the shipping experience is like. I get stuff from overseas in all the time, but never synths. I'd do it, but back of mind is always am I gonna get the dodgy 1 on the pallet that needs returning to the dealer, and that would suck balls to admit shopping with Rockshop was the better option.

Rubber monkey have a sale on includings some B gear.
Monopoly is $1099, $90 off the pro 1 at $619, and $186 off the Cat for $529

Post

Yeah, I'm apprehensive about getting a big item from overseas too. I spotted that Monopoly sale - already got one though. I've seen the B vocoder thing for $999 (MusicPlanet, I think?) which undercuts RubberMonkey quite a bit. I noticed recently that Rubber Monkey prices have been steadily hiking up, even higher than Rockshop :-o . I got a B mixer a few months ago and MusicPlanet was $300 less than RubberMonkey for same model, quite surprised me.

I checked out some Aussie stores this week and far better prices than I expected. Dunno what shipping costs though, must look into it. The prices here are getting silly. Considering the Pro800 goes for US$300, nothing like that here :x :tantrum:

Post

I think local companies see the cheap price, and jack it up, just because they can.
$300USD should be no more than $550AUD here, but it sells for $650+AUD

Post

It did get good for a while, going from really gougey to much more like it, but seems they're doing the standard kiwi business practice of automatic 100% mark up starting point.
Pro 800 is 300 sterling, should be 6 to 650. 800 bucks is way too much 'taxing'.

Another video posted 7th December 2023 but is actually filmed May 2022 (don't ask me why) comparing the UB-Xa with the OB-Xa. This is still probably the prototype UB-Xa though.
As a member of the beta testing team I reprogrammed all the 104 legendary factory presets on the UB-Xa. I shot this video in May 2022. This UB-Xa is one of the last revisions. There were some improvements. In this video we were not finished with the firmware. Based on our experience with the sound design, we have incorporated a few improvements that will now appear in the final version. Nevertheless, this video shows the UB-Xa in an almost finished state. We have gone into every detail to capture the character of the original as much as possible. The numerous parameters in the 8 mods made this possible. I made this video primarily to check my results. Due to the high demand for comparisons, I have decided to post this video and it is possible that a comparison of the latest version would be slightly different, just as even every OB-Xa is not exactly the same as another OB-Xa.

I switched off the velocity and aftertouch plus switched off voices 9-16 for this video to get the same circumstances like on the Original. I also put the voices randomly for panning.
