Why?
Because 42 is the answer to everything - always.
How many reverbs per track?

I just calculated the average based on the last 197 tracks : 41,98534 reverbs per track.
So, let's keep it at 42.

For the number of reverbs per track, shalt thou count to three. No more, no less.
Three shall be the number of reverbs thou shalt count per track, and the number of the counting shall be three.
Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three.
Five is right out.

Setting aside whether it's better for the mix, I don't understand how using reverbs on each track instead of one reverb on a send would be more CPU efficient. Am I missing something? I would assume the plugin uses the same amount of processing power whether on a regular track or an aux track. (I use Reaper, where all tracks are the same.)AtomOfScent wrote: Tue Dec 05, 2023 4:30 am Also, it might seem counter-intuitive but it's often better to use reverb plugins on individual tracks rather than on groups or sends due to how multi-threading is handled.

Its like asking..
How many tracks should my project have?
What reverb decay time should i use?
What key should my track be in?
How many chords should i use?
What attack time should my compressor have?
What colour should i use for percussion in my DAW?
Should i eq before or after compression?
OP - Not trying to be a dick but you get the point?
Realistically if a genre was stated it may be easier to advise. I think the most common would be somewhere between 3 and 10

The fact that a few people are even trying to be serious still in this morass of a thread is impressive.
