- Fixed sample playback
In 1.2.0 there remained an issue with pitch modulation in sample playback. This appears to be fixed now in 1.2.1. Thanks, Wolfram, for reacting quickly to these 2 bug reports.

Snagged this in the audio deluxe deal without expectations, great synth. (don't know any other FM synth with per operator pitch lfo/env)

Does anybody experience laggy/sluggish GUI using AU version on MacOS? Vst3 seems fine. Contacted support but no reply yet.

You can also get just the three expansions for fifteen euros if the synth is already owned. There's a drop down box in the cart for that option.

Has anyone played with the pattern loader in the arp section(s)?

I just got F'em a couple of weeks ago and can't figure this out. I had a support ticket going, but I think he gave up on me. ;)

It seems like you can click on the "load" button in the arp settings - to load a MIDI file - to make the arpeggiator play a pattern (like a sequencer) instead of normal arp stuff. I can't get this to work though.

The reason I started looking at this is - I wanted one of the presets to *not* play the built in pattern - and I can't turn it off.

If you listen to the Factory preset "The Clock YY", it plays a pattern of notes on layer 2. I can disable the arpeggiator and it plays "normally", but I'd like it to play like a normal arpeggiator or maybe even load my own pattern.
I can't make it stop playing the built in pattern though. I've saved a new preset using just layer 2 from "The Clock YY" (to avoid any confusion). I've tried loading my own MIDI files (in to the arpeggiator) and even the one that Tracktion support sent me (which would just play middle C notes) - but no matter what I try, when I hold down a long note on my MIDI keyboard (or trigger one from Reaper) it plays the built in pattern of notes. I can't figure out where this pattern comes from. I know it's in the arpeggiator because with the arpeggiator disabled, it only plays the normal note that you play on the keyboard.

I'm not afraid to say that it's me who's doing something wrong - but I'm damned if I can find out what it is ;-)
It seems like the "load" (a pattern) functionality is broken - but it must have worked when the preset was built.
Has anyone played with this?

I just tried it out and it works on my side. The pattern is a MIDI file which was loaded and if you load your own midi file it will play this instead the factory presets one. Maybe you should try with onother MIDI file, it can be a mess to create one for be used in arpeggiators, because DAWs mostly export not what you select, but the whole project with all tracks as MIDI (-->make a new project with only one MIDI track with MIDI channel 1 and just the length, which the MIDI file shall have). Then it should work.

Hi Samdi - I've been through this with Tracktion support and it works for them but not for me. I even sent them my instrument file and MIDI files (two of them) and they work there but not on my Windows 11 PC with Reaper.
I'm just going to forget it and move on ;)
It's easy enough to just create the MIDI in Reaper - and play it that way.
The main reason I brought this up was to try to get rid of the "built in" sequence in some presets - but this definitely *doesn't* work in windows. The "x" button (to clear or delete the "sequence") doesn't work and was verified by Tracktion support.

Yeah you're right, the X-button doesn't seem to work. But when it's confirmed by Tracktion, they should fix it!

I assume, that the Arp of a new preset has internally a bar of 16 16th c0 or c1 note in it and if you want to get back the behaviour of a fresh arp back you just need to load a MIDI file with such a bar, which should then kind of restore the original behaviour.

I don't know - I just can't seem to load any MIDI files here. :-\

It worked for me here using a MIDI file I have.
Is Arp switched on along the left side?
It lets you load a MIDI file, but it won't play unless Arp is enabled.

However, I can confirm that clicking the X doesn't clear out the pattern that's loaded like others mentioned. I am using Windows 11.

Also, shouldn't it show the Step Count?

Is there a way to un-fugly the GUI a bit?
