Not very good at publishing and announcing, this is to inform you of the update to version 8 of the Altiverb by Audioease.
Altiverb is a plugin that makes your audio sound like it's playing somewhere else, adding the acoustics of existing spaces to your own recordings or live audio.

All spaces in Altiverb were recorded in the real world, from Sydney Opera House to a Scottish underground oil tank the size of a cathedral.

Compatibility with M1/M2 processors of Apple computers and the possibility of loading I.R. by clicking on the images, from the Browser, I find this update excellent.

As a post tool it's absolutely invaluable - nothing else comes close to variety and speed of use. But it's far from essential for music. Also the single-license policy (geared to post facilities houses) punishes the freelancer, so that's not too inviting either.

+1 to this... the plugin industry has changed drastically over the last ten years. 500 dollars for a single plugin -- I don't care how many IRs it comes with, IRs really shouldn't be considered 'premium' items, given how widespread and relatively simple the tech is -- is absolutely out of touch with reality.

Yes, it's ridiculously expensive, but I've owned it for over a decade, and this is the first paid upgrade in 13 years. I'll give them credit for that.
