Still using mainly Thimeo Stereo tool (mainly as clipping). By far the best one on the market but it has a steep learning curve and tons of settings that can either result in amazing sound output or totally screw up your audio.
If a project or a track needs limiting then it's usually Pro-L, Smart Limiter or DMG Limitless.

Kinda making it severe injustice... even the basic modules offer MAMMOTH of processing power.
And the best thing is that this tool couples so nicely with other tools (from free tools to the absurdly expensive).
Maybe the term "learning curve" is a little misleading. more of a "daundeavor" (daunting endeavor).bmanic wrote: Thu Dec 07, 2023 5:02 am By far the best one on the market but it has a steep learning curve
But it is feasible (tho the new preset system is frustrating as fack. at least for me, for now).
Have to agree here (but that's how it goes with every tool that is as deep as this one).bmanic wrote: Thu Dec 07, 2023 5:02 am and tons of settings that can either result in amazing sound output or totally screw up your audio.
Other than that... same ol' "show me yer panties" :
One can coax (with ease) at least 50 tools with a blink of an eye for the tast of "limiting".
Move on, men... discuss audio processing tools that NEVER EVER gets discussed (eg. Compressors and Equalizers).

Kilohearts Limiter. It's free. Works better than IK Stealth Limiter and TDR Limiter GE (I have both). Low CPU. Kilohearts guys really know how to code.

They're saying this is FinalPlug 7, but I just don't believe them anymore.
Because they've said that 6 times before.

I think it's a mistake. It is recommended that you keep one on your mastertrack just for protection. It sits there doing nothing but it can save your ears and/or your speakers, in case a plugin does something wrong or you have a feedback loop. Yes most DAWs can automatically mute in case of such an event, but it also cuts your audio entirely. If you are doing live stuff, you don't want that.
