Why some devs charge VAT, some don't even when they are from the same country?
I read some customers just change the country at checkout to avoid vat, but I don't think it works, cuz your credit card or PayPal must match the country, I suppose.
I am pissed when I see a price with no vat information and then at checkout all of a sudden vat is added. Happened sometimes.
Why is vat so chaotic?
VAT, yes and no

My guess: Some still don't have payment providers which handle VAT.DCrown wrote: Fri Dec 08, 2023 8:35 pm Why some devs charge VAT, some don't even when they are from the same country?
I'm wondering too though. Every online shop has to consider VAT in its system. Not that I would complain if I don't have to pay VAT, but, still.

I don't get charged VAT, but the banks have a nifty 'currency conversion' fee baked in.
