Electric guitar, synth bass, and drums. Starts off slow but develops into something rockish.

Thanks for the info. That's strange. No errors when I access it using Firefox. Here's another link: https://drive.proton.me/urls/5T2FYZ9G18#fx9fDh1Cd3Op

The somewhat harpsichord-like clean guitar sound is interesting. The distorted
guitar on the right could have a little more bite. At the end you ran the guitar
part through an up and down filter. Overall: A nice, varied song with a lot of
guitar groove. Well done!

Kinda really dig it. Throughout, it sounds like it's always on the edge of falling completely apart, but it holds onto a cliff by the strength of its fingers alone. Has some echoes of early Pixies/late Beatles. Good, clean experimentation.

Thank you. There's a lot of layering of the same part played detuned. Maybe that gives is a harpsichord quality?enroe wrote: Wed Nov 29, 2023 6:00 am The somewhat harpsichord-like clean guitar sound is interesting. The distorted

Haha, that may well be exactly the case. A harpsichord impresses with its very bright,Genetic_Junk wrote: Sat Dec 09, 2023 3:15 pmThank you. There's a lot of layering of the same part played detuned. almost glittering, penetrating sound. The guitar sounds similar - if set appropriately,
e.g. amp with a lot of treble. Definitely sounds very good. You absolutely have to
leave it like that.

Thanksseismic1 wrote: Sun Dec 03, 2023 11:24 pm Nice development from a mellow instrumental intro into a psychedelic guitar-jam. It's got a sound like a "live band " which gives the piece more power.
Good work![]()

Mr. Genetic_Junk,
Thank you for the review! Now your song: has some unique sounds, so that makes it more interesting. Has kind of a 60's psychedelic vibe, I can dig it (translation: I like it!). The only way I think you can significantly improve it is add some good vocals. In my previous song you reviewed, I used EastWest Hollywood Backup Singers (it has three Black female singers); I think that could work well on your tune.

I agree. There are pauses in between phrases which are unexpected at first and then it becomes apparent that these are part of the piece.irpacynot wrote: Mon Dec 04, 2023 8:13 am Kinda really dig it. The audio quality is that of a cassette that has been left in the car's glove compartment during the summer and may have melted a bit.
A characterful piece that defies the expectations of the digital age.
