Can't he change the fonts to black instead of creme or whatever it is now?
Those little arrows are trimmers, right?

Not shady - just purchased the upgrade. Went fast and smooth, but you need to have your User ID ready...the one that was given to you when you purchased the original.
maybe you can help me? i own II, purchased 3, got all my info, but going in circles to enter my code. I click that fast DEMO popup and it cycles back around to the download page. is there a full version to download because I can't find it, even when logged in correctly.
Make sure you have logged out, then login AGAIN with the new credentials you should have received after the upgrade: The username is almost the same you had for V.2, but the numbers at the end are different, and the serial number is completely different.

You should then see the full downloads for Version 3.

It looks challenging. I guess that is the result when a developer is totally familiar with his baby due to all the time spent on it, but doesn't understand how outsiders perceive it.

A bit like with programming in general. A coder knows his code inside out, but when someone else has to update the source code later on, he often doesn't understand what the original programmer thought.

Some are trimmers, some are pots for things that are not in the original OB-X.
Like mix amount for the additional filter. Or noise level.

A very successful emulation, congratulations and thank you for this great vst.

The only downside, the color of the interface, not great at all.

I suppose there will be skins very soon to remedy this aesthetic problem.

Apart from that, once again congratulations and thank you for this vst.

Am listening to the video, the sound is very nice. There are some pads that have that typical Oberheim density and presence, rarely have I heard that on other softsynths.

Usually I hate factory presets, but this synth comes with a lot of instantly usable, musical sounds :)

Me too. The colour is a downgrade, there should be the original colour as second skin.
The rest of the synth is really nice

You should have received a key attached to your order confirmation email. I haven’t installed it yet but I noticed the key (opxII didn’t require a key) which you most likely have to put somewhere or drop onto the plugin.

Edit: this is what the email says:

Your license mail contains a key.htm file. After downloading the key.htm file doubleclick it and it will open as local offline-website in your web-browser.

Like written in vulpes777 post here above, you need to login to the site again and download the opx 3 non demo version. You activite it like the opx 2; with user id and license code. That you received in the mail.

The sound is (and was) beautiful.

The UI is probably the hardest to understand of any vintage analog vst I have. The color change does not help matters. Needs a original color skin.

Surprised it's still just two sizes? Seems like v3 was a good time to catch up to modern UI resizability.

Not sure yet if I'll upgrade.

Yeah I don't know who chose baby poop brown but that is pretty hideous to me. :o

Anyway didn't they say a long time ago they got rid of the need for SynthEdit?

Then why:

You can code your own modules in C++ for SynthEdit though, and I think MS-2 is one of the coolest SynthEdit projects out there.

thanks. I figured my login would be the same as before. weird

Post

Yeah, so the key file you get in the email has your new User ID and License for V3, and these you will use to login to the site now, and once you login with the new credentials you'll see the full V3 installer. When you first open the V3 plugin, you'll enter your new User ID and License. Process was easy but you would have no idea if you didn't read the Key file.
