Wow, there are now different settings for ring modulation that you can toggle after right-clicking! It's the first synth I've heard of since Feldspar that can do different kinds of ring modulation. Having a vintage FM feedback mode is also nice. Now it needs an authentic DAC or bit crusher effect!

There’s a few bitcrushers and derez circuits in airwindows. The digital waveshaper and sample and hold filter also provide some various bit crush and derez styles
And yeah the new ring mod combos are cool! Glad you like them

I've had some obsession or fascination with ring mod sounds since I heard the gong from the C64 version of The Last Ninja on the Wii virtual console. The Arp Odyssey and Korg Minilogue have the coolest ringmod features. The ring modulators on the Novation Nova synths sound cool too.baconpaul wrote: Fri Dec 08, 2023 9:38 pm There’s a few bitcrushers and derez circuits in airwindows. XT2 should have a better preset browser indeed. Lots of work ahead.
(Just FYI you can search by text currently and even filter by author or category if you type CAT= or AUTH= then your search term, it's not exactly fullscreen but at least you don't need to dig through submenus).

Fantastic!! Very well done!! Thank you again for supporting Linux!!!EvilDragon wrote: Fri Dec 08, 2023 1:30 pm We released Surge XT 1.3.0 on December 8, 2023. This release contains a wide variety of performance-focused enhancements, new effects, expanded DSP, and many bug fixes and small improvements.
You can now gain complete control of the synth using OSC, use MIDI Program Changes to load patches (except in VST3), and have access to a command-line only version of the synth for embedded and headless applications. The new effect, Bonsai, is an exciting tape and saturation model. Expanded ring modulation options in the mixer allow for a myriad of growls, squeals, boosts, and signal combinations. The expanded Tuning Editor gives a variety of realtime visualizations for your scales and tunings. Plus, we have added some new patches and modulator presets. And these are just the headlines! You can always see the full change set in our changelog.
As always, please feel free to share any problems you experience on our Discord or GitHub, and we hope you enjoy making music with Surge XT!

Surge XT is a really versatile synth that covers a lot of sonic territory....
It's a solid workhorse and it's getting better with every revision....
A great deal of gratitude and appreciation is owed to the team behind this synth....
Thanks guys....
This one's a 5 star winner

Good to see active development on this. Did you guys take over development of dexed? Been hoping to see that one updated, especially the vst3 bug where the ui size doesn't get remembered. Anyways sorry for off topic.

Are all the effects from Surge and Airwindows being considered for Shortcircuit as well?
I read more than post = I listen more than I talk
