I have to say Waves Flow Motion is better than it rightfully should be. Also, Comet and Supermodal from Polyverse are super fun.

I re-uploaded the track. I did some mix fixes and removed a lot of the fluttery synthy stuff. I've never been good at taking things out, but I'm trying to get better at it.

Very varied and interesting track. The synth bends (portamento?) and bass sprinkles
are particularly well done.

Just to be clear, the weight reference was related to your track titles, and not the musiceassae wrote: Mon Dec 04, 2023 6:26 pmseismic1 wrote: Sun Dec 03, 2023 11:44 pm I have been gaining weight during the last couple of weeks![]()

I like this. The synths and reverb impart the piece with a "light" vibe, whilst managing to sound rhythmically heavy at the same time.
I used to make some very dense music, and was never comfortable with the idea of removing parts once I had become accustomed to their presence. These days I add less parts during the composition, so I don't encounter the attachment issues. It may be restraint, but it could also be laziness
Good work

Lots of interesting elements that merge well and fit together. I also hear a lot of filter modulation, probably from the supermodal. I don't know the Waves FM Synth but Waves makes more good stuff than bad (even if many people claim that everything from Waves is crap).
The mix also sounds very clean, not too much reverb. Probably also partly wet/dry automated?

Hyper chip tune with some laid back beats. Impressive!

It is hard once your ear gets used to something. To toot my own horn here, I was proud of myself on this one, I removed more than a hand full of instances of the fluttery sound. I was trying to hard to make it work in certain parts, so I finally just tried it without it, and found that I it was better absent. Hopefully I'll keep this in mind in the future…considering removal as a viable option instead of trying to shoehorn a ton of crap in every space.

A cute little blippy number with some sneaky ominous undertones.
Would make good video game music.

Thanks 4damind. Yeah, I use a number of waves plugins regularly.4damind wrote: Thu Dec 07, 2023 11:13 pm Lots of interesting elements that merge well and fit together. There is some automation. I tend to use reverb sparingly on drums, which I feel opens up some space.
