Too f**king true, john, but you can't fault BONES' productivity a single iotta, can you?

It's GOOD to be passionate about what you use..It's a sign of artistic integrity..Maybe that's why the f**ker's still kicking out tunes when he should be humping a hill on the local golf course instead..

not faulting his productivity more his "your an idiot because you dont make the choices i make"
i actually mentined bones and krim as 2 orion users who do pretty much everything in there 8) just think he needs to calm down a bit, yeah he needs the image on stage n shit but for f**ks sake its a bit old now...

i've never had crash problems with any of the orion versions. i have had cpu-hog plugs get me, but i don't think i've ever had an instance of orion crashing while changing it's own presets. i actually think of o-plat as being pretty much idiot-proof. even i, with no raw talent, can produce some pretty good stuff on this.

"we love our sequenceritis"

is actually an official illness in the geeks medical journal you know. :hihi:

bottom line is if a host does all one needs fair enough.

it's when it doesn't that the problems kick in.

It's all tongue in cheek, man..You know that :D

Just the other day BONES sent me a link to his web gallery collection of Hello Kitty pr0n..

You would have never though it, would you..?

orion is my #2 host..It was actually the first sequencing package I bought, maybe it was 3 years ago..right after pro came out. When the sampler became a slicer was the clincher!
I was able to understand how to do everything, luckily, as documentation was almost non-existant. I've lost a few songs, but realize now it was because of third party plug-ins.
the only thing I wish for is the ability to specify instead of beats, do it by bars..
recording audio? that's what I have SX for.

There you go, that wasn't so hard was it? I still don't understand why people get so caught up with metering when we have more headroom than we could ever need. It's not like the analogue tape days when we were constantly fighting a battle against noise. Maybe one of the samples in that drum-kit is corrupt? I didn't think you could copy/paste audio files in an Audio Track so maybe that's why it doesn't work? Dunno 'cause I never tried. And again with the meters.

Well, I used to think that FL/Orion and the like where only for Electronic music, it seemmed all too rigid and not much flexibility. I tried Orion and I didnt understand it at all. But again, when I tried FL for the first time (version 2.7 I think) It didnt make any sense either. Now I'm glad to say that I can virtually program anything in FL with all these years of using it. I'm making everything from Hip-hop/Techno to Salsa and other latin styles, and they dont sound "machine like" cuz I'm able to program them by hand with an electronic drumset. I think its all on getting to know a certain program well, getting under the hood and learning how to use it, and then sticking to it forever. Thats where the real strength of a program comes in, when the user gets to understand the programs limitations and them figuring how to get around them. I'm sure that, had I gotten Orion instead of FL, I would be an Orion Guru and FL would make no sense to me whatsoever.
