Believe it or not I knew you would post this.
Let your little prince ask them.DCrown wrote: Tue Dec 12, 2023 7:19 pm If more than 30 people sent a petition to Korg for developing and releasing BF-2, Boss would release a plugin.
Why Korg?
Because Prince is dead now, but Prince could have asked Boss directly to dev and release a BF-2 plugin. And they would have made a plugin. Prince was not into plugins anyway, though.
Are you in? Will you write, as well!martinjuenke wrote: Tue Dec 12, 2023 7:25 pmLet your little prince ask them.DCrown wrote: Tue Dec 12, 2023 7:19 pm If more than 30 people sent a petition to Korg for developing and releasing BF-2, Boss would release a plugin.

If we "small", "unimportant" customers asked Boss, they wouldn't care.
Why Korg?
Because someone has to replace Prince concerning this matter. First letter of Korg is "K", last "g", what's the next higher level of a prince, it's a King! Here we go!
Elvis is dead, but Korg/King still alive!
If the King contacted Boss and tell them they received 37 (370 would even be better!) emails of people who want a good BF-2 plugin, KING asks BOSS to develop one of the most used pedals of PRINCE!
What would they do?
Of course they would wanna release it asap, maybe they would let some experienced dev do it, who cares...
Who wants to be one of 37 people who will write an email to Korg support asking to make a BF-2 plugin?
Does anyone don't comprehend my plan?
I'm kinda surprised Audiority hasn't yet (I've been waiting for them to do it too). They did the HM-2, the Blues Driver and the DS-1.. I like the Electric Matter just fine, but we need ALL the flange flavors, some of us live forever in post-punk land!jamcat wrote: Tue Dec 12, 2023 10:33 pm I don't want to fracture our BF-2 NOW movement just as it's building steam, but I have to question why we would want KORG involved. Roland owns BOSS, not KORG. And KORG doesn't seem terribly competent or responsive when it comes to making VST plugins.
I think our best bet still is Audiority. With enough demand, Luca will do it.
We could also pursue Cytomic, as many people really like Andy's TubeScreamer model. But we would have to wait until 2050 for it to be finished.
They should’ve called it a platter reverb, then we’d all be like woah, a reverb I don’t already have!
YESSSSSS!mothra wrote: Wed Dec 13, 2023 1:38 am we need ALL the flange flavors, some of us live forever in post-punk land!
