I'm not sure how OT this, but I cannot figure out how to make Fruity's automation clips work with WusikStation. Is there a tutorial somewhere? Nothing seems to work. I was able to automate WusikStation just fine in Sonar (though it is a bit funky and I may send a bug report to Wusik.Spe3D wrote:I think there is a vast array of tools in FL that make automation a breeze plus powerful – but for sure the latest edition FL 5 has AutoClips, where you can literally draw the curve or path the knob or control should follow during song mode – this has brought the largely hidden aspect of automation into a very visible form.pHz wrote:perfect illustration of why this issue is SO subjective ... i loved a LOT of what fl-studio could do but never really liked its automation for some reason hence it falling out of use with me ...Spe3D wrote:Well my hosts now are FL Studio Producer (for the automation – I cannot find anything better that I understand)

So you have a traditional midi type editor for the old type of automation and internal linking of automation controls – plus now the auto clips – that are curves or lfos for automation to follow.
I love that aspect of FL
But indeed its what you can use to get the job done at the end of the day – sometimes it’s a matter of selecting the best from each host that you can get on with = got to have choice.![]()

:O)
Any help would be appreciated.
And for the record, I tried using Orion Platinum for a year or so, on and off, and it was okay but did seem to be prone to crashing. I also didn't like their rising in price.
But to be fair, there are folks who produce great music on it. I think it is best if you're coming from a hardware studio background. But Sonar seems like my main sequencer, and Fruity my second in command (for beats), and I keep trying to figure out Reason. But I always come back to Sonar because it does everything I want.
