I have V9, Pigments, Aug. Piano and Strings, Motions, Coldfire and EFX3. $149. Woodwinds would be nice but not $149 nice. I use the EFX and Pigments constantly for recording but really don’t use the others that much but I love playing with them. Also bought UVI Falcon when it was on sale so should hold off on this upgrade.

I can't believe that with all the Model D emulations out already, they picked that one to update? Meanwhile... the world still doesn't have a good 2600 emulation. This is one of the most disappointing V Collection updates in recent memory. Hard pass.

I'm pretty sure the discounted offer for the V8 to V9 was 100; why is this one 200? not really interested, maybe at 100 for the minifreak.

New instruments do not mean adding existing instruments, but rather creating new ones and here this is not at all the case.

So the augmented ones are already not really real instruments and should not be taken as new features, but a simple bonus.

Faced with competition, it was high time to update the mini v.

Sample packs, not the most interesting.

The best for last, Arturia asks me 299 euros for the update.

I love Arturia, but these guys are nonsense.

299 euros just to have Acid V, Augmented, a piano, three sample packs, updates, don't mess around.

To conclude, at this price 299 euros, Arturia will not be for me, really exaggerating to have nothing interesting on the contrary.

I don't think I'll be the only one to have this reaction.

Mr. Arturia, perhaps we should review the offers for your customers and stop taking us for cash cows and I weigh my words.

Really a shame, I really like Arturia and they have truly exceptional customer service, but we really need to stop practicing like this.

Not at all the best way to retain your customers, quite the contrary.

By thinking too big, we become small again.

OK here on Win 10 Pro. Took about 2 mins to download but 15 minutes to install though.
I'm on a Mac. Think I've had this problem before. Just done a complete uninstall & will try again
Yeah, give that a try. Just installed on the 13.5 Macbook here and it's solid.

Anyone have first-hand opinions about the sound of the updates instead of pricing?

Post

Well, this is massive disappointment. They are asking me 149 euros for basically nothing. I own already Minifreak (which is nice and the update is cool). I'm not interested in these "augmented" things and this electric piano. Mini V update could be interesting though, but not worth the price.

I was hoping to get some interesting vintage synths (say CS-10, SK-1 etc).

I have V Collection 8. I hesitated to buy V Collection 9.2 on Black Friday because I was pretty sure Arturia would release version 10 right after Black Friday. Now I see that I was right.
The update price for me is 299$. That's quite a lot.
Now I Ask myself if I should wait until next Black Friday in 2024 or if I'm done with Arturia.
Unfortunately, I'm not a rich musician who makes money with making music, so I can't afford the update price right now. :(

I have 2 of the "new" instruments alreay and have hoped for a better price too. Would maybe upgrade for 99 dollars but not for 149.

Not on initial release that price would have been a much later sale. Wait a year.

briefcasemanx wrote: Tue Dec 12, 2023 7:58 pm Yeah my upgrade is 149 since I purchased minifreak, and there's no way I'm spending $149 on this.

What are other people's upgrade prices?
Same for me, and I already own almost ALL of the instruments except Augmented Brass and Strings. No way I will upgrade at this price.
Insane. I think my upgrade at 149 seems fair (I'm just not interested in the new addition), but for some people like you the upgrade pricing algorithm seems completely messed up.

$149 upgrade to add Acid V and CP-70 V, no bueno.

This is a really disappointing update. They had to know this would be poorly received...?

You're forgetting Woodwinds.

Anyway, I don't understand their pricing - I"d get CP-70, Augmented Piano, Augmented Brass, Augmented Woodwinds, AND Minifreak for the same price ($149).
