Just re-discovered that you need a active subscription to do it so i went for a year of Pro Membership since it also gave me a extra lifetime key via the Play4life Promo they are having nowcocoazenith wrote: Wed Dec 13, 2023 9:54 am Does anyone know what is required to switch a lifetime product with another from the rolandcloud.com user panel? An active subscription? If so, any subscription or just Pro/Ultimate?

I read you saying this so I checked and this isn't the case for me. I just removed one and was able to choose another. I'm not sure how many people realise that you can switch the plugins you 'own'. I think it's very cool!D-Fusion wrote: Wed Dec 13, 2023 10:16 amThey shut that option down without any warning so a subscription won't help.cocoazenith wrote: Wed Dec 13, 2023 9:54 am Does anyone know what is required to switch a lifetime product with another from the rolandcloud.com user panel? The Trashcan is still there on the page but you get a warning that you can't change it when you click on it.

This only works as long as you have an active subscription.Gyu wrote: Wed Dec 13, 2023 5:09 pmI read you saying this so I checked and this isn't the case for me. Maybe you are limited to changing the two plugins on your active subscription because you don’t receive the lifetime keys until the end. All I know is that when I last had an active sub there were a number of keys that seemed unchangeable. I’m stuck with a TR-707 there’s no way I would have planned to keep permanently.

They must have enabled it again then since it was removed Earlier this year and i haven't bother to subsrcibe just to test if it will work for me again.Gyu wrote: Wed Dec 13, 2023 5:09 pmI read you saying this so I checked and this isn't the case for me. Just subscribed to the P4Life Pro subscription and now i could change my Lifetime keys to something more usefull instead of having a few doubles (SRX Plugins that i also have lifetime keys for in Zenology Pro).
So thank you for pointing it out Gyu since i thought it was removed when i suddenly could'nt change my Lifetime keys Earlier this year
I also got to choose my 9th Lifetime key instantly after paying on Roland cloud Web page so i am a happy Kid before Christmas now

I attempted to go Roland Cloud by getting a free trail subscription to test it out. Never worked. I moved on quickly.

That’s good to know. They’ve got a couple of weeks to release a new instrument that I want or I’ll be in wait and see mode until the next iteration of their Play4Life scheme.

The reason for me stopping my subscription was because i have almost everything in the Cloud and that i suddenly could'nt change my lifetime keys.WatchTheGuitar wrote: Wed Dec 13, 2023 11:15 pm That’s good to know. But i decided to Take a chance after Gyu told me that it works now since i had some doubles that i needed to change
I will be sure to check things out more closely before i post anything out of frustration in the future since i don't want to spread disinformation

Hey Orourkekings. My name is Jon and I work for Roland Cloud. I am more than happy to help if you'd like! What do you mean by it "never worked"?Orourkekings wrote: Wed Dec 13, 2023 6:32 pm I attempted to go Roland Cloud by getting a free trail subscription to test it out. Never worked. Its been a while. I can't remember exactly. I either couldn't locate the download or had a installl problem. Something to that nature. I never got to the point of actually using the instruments. Its not a big deal. I prefer getting a permanent license instead when i get ready.Jon at Roland wrote: Thu Dec 14, 2023 12:43 amHey Orourkekings. My name is Jon and I work for Roland Cloud. Jon, you got two products that will explode if you release them. The JP8080, and an SP-303/404Jon at Roland wrote: Thu Dec 14, 2023 12:43 amHey Orourkekings. I happen to think the SP303/404 will do quite well for obvious reasons. Literally an entire genre of music is based around it (Lo-Fi). Please bro lmao, DO IT

@Jon: just wanted to drop a wish for Zenology Pro. Usage of custom multisamples would be incredibly nice. My suggestion is just allowing a process similar to the Fantom. Use SF2/SFZ files, convert them and allow them to be added to Zenology Pro by drag and drop or something like that (and a way to clean them up again). There is no need for a fully fledged multisample editor in the plugin.

Anyone, including Jon@Roland....launched RCM a bit ago on my Mac and a notification popped up with something about the SH-2 (plugin I own..but also on Pro sub) but the f**king thing went away before I could read it fully and I don't see any news, etc. about the SH-2 plugin. I do see a new version 1.1.7 but of course there are no release notes. Does anyone know if there is anything new with this plugin?

Massive glitch to report:
I was trying to download the SH-101 EXP for the Fantom EX. This is done via the Roland Cloud app. I put the EXP on my jump drive and tried to upload it to my Fantom. I could not find it on the flash drive, and thought it might be a file error.
SOOOOOO, I decided to redownload it. As it was "installing" to the Windows directory (taking a VERY long time), I literally had a window open to my Download directory and watched as, instantly, thousands of files were deleted before my eyes. (I had specified the root of the Downloads folder to put the download in.) Then the Roland Cloud app crashed.
Gladly (I really am trying to be optimistic here) it was only my Downloads directory that got wiped (not recoverable...paid app can find the files but no file headers appear so they cannot be recovered). I had a LOT in there from about two years.
Has this happened to anyone else here?
Files not recovered, but I was able to install the EXP...not much consolation. My guess is that it happened on the "cleanup" of the install files. It cleaned up everything in the directory instead of just the Roland files.
