Thank you D-Fusion. Yes, Arturia Support was excellent the past years. I will see what their answer will be, and depending on it, I either keep investing in their products or leave them for good.D-Fusion wrote: Wed Dec 13, 2023 2:35 pm Ok. Hope you get it sorted out
Arturia does have excellent software support![]()

My update price is $199 and I own V9 and the FX Collection. Looks like I'll be skipping a version this time.
See y'all again in 2024-5, Arturia!

Mini 3, and all its sounds, stays installed. Make sure you have "include legacy sounds" ticked in Analog Lab.ytjmu wrote: Wed Dec 13, 2023 9:51 pm Anyone knows what will happen to the Mini V3 sound banks? Do I manually have to transfer them?

I'll keep it very simple. For Arturia:
New release = expensive
older release = cheap

Meh,Very disappointing release for me with no need for upgrading after 9,I love arturia’s synths but something quirky like the SQ-80 would have perhaps made me click that upgrade tab
live 11 / Arturia collection / many Softube plug ins / thats it

I was about to update MiniFreak V to version 2 through the ASC app, but I thought that I should double check the compatibility with my OS first. Under system requirements for Mac it says macOS 11+ for MiniFreak 2 on the product page and I'm still on 10.15.7 Catalina.
If you click on the "Resources" tab that takes you to the downloads and installers however, it says macOS 10.13+ as the requirement for version 2. So it's unclear to me at the moment whether or not I can update the plug-in on my machine. Is anyone using version 2 successfully on Catalina? Thank you in advance.

Was thinking this wasnt going to be worth the upgrade from VC 9.. but downloaded the updated mini v (4) and it sounds fantastic. Also played around with the MiniFreak which has some interesting presets. The CP-70, purely for nostalgic reasons.. appeals. Anyway - the Augmented stuff I havent leaned into, tbh - but the demos sound like they have stuff I can use. So.. with an upgrade price of $150 for me ( VC9 + earlier Fx collection ) -VC X is on my Christmas '23 list now..

I've got vc9 and fx3 and pigments and it's 199. Do you have acid v or something already? How is it 149?jdoo wrote: Thu Dec 14, 2023 6:12 am Was thinking this wasnt going to be worth the upgrade from VC 9.. but downloaded the updated mini v (4) and it sounds fantastic. What I am really missing, is a converter from old V3 to new V4 Versions, for Jupiter, both prophets, CS80 and da new Mini and of course all upcoming new Versions. They already offered a converter for Collection V5, after the community has demanded.
I know that these New Versions are now really different, but there must be a algoritm to come close to the raw sound - like you do it manually, and maybe try to simulate the effects afterwards, that they also try to come close - I really would like to hear my preset collections in better sound quality and i can live with it, if they dont't sound 1:1.
t's cool that you can now import a picture of a custom soundset. It's now more easy to find a soundset in Analog Lab.

Is it really though? If that was true it's a sad comment on what the masses think is a "flagship". CS80, Jupiter 8, OBX-a, Prophet 5, etc and the done to death mindlessly simple MiniMoog is the "flagship" in any way ? I don't know if that would say more about Arturia or its user base.
Or hear me out....synths with no competition should be a priority. There are still a lot of synths out there with no emulations or at least don't already have a half dozen emulations from various developers. The MiniMoog is about as low hanging fruit as it gets.....

a converter that makes my third party preset purchase(s) made for Mini V3,
that adapt them to make use of the new features of V4?
And like you mention, it can be %'s off, because it's kinda 'guesswork'?
If yes, then yeah, interesting; i'd like to see that too.
(PS: i don't even know yet if third party preset made for Mini V3 work in V4.
i know with Jupitor V4 broke something for 3th party presets that previously worked)

It’s not possible to import V3 sounds in Jupiter, cs80, prophets and the new miniV4.Hettoblaster wrote: Thu Dec 14, 2023 12:51 pmIs what you mean:sacer wrote: Thu Dec 14, 2023 9:45 am What I am really missing, is a converter from old V3 to new V4 Versions, for Jupiter, both prophets, CS80 and da new Mini and of course all upcoming new Versions. But if lots of people would request it, they would have to offer.
Like synplant2 or Vital Micromusic there are AI algorithm that can copy a heard sound and rebuild the sound as synth preset. Arturia knows best the parameter changes of their newer versions and could deliver if they get many requests

Agreed. Ensoniq, Emulator, Fairlight... Entire albums that are now considered classics were built on those machines, but the companies that manufactured them no longer exist.Teksonik wrote: Thu Dec 14, 2023 12:11 pm Or hear me out....synths with no competition should be a priority.
Arturia collection is about giving the users access to sounds and instruments that can't be found anymore. And that means bringing back machines and brands few people remember.
As long as they keep doing it, they'll have my money. They did it with version 9. They didn't do it with this latest release.
