They sure are cranking through these smart EQs like nobodies business. Curious to see how much they’ve improved on SmartEQ 3.

It's been quite a while since I used it, but the core design never made sense to me. The predetermined and short time for creating an EQ snapshot is inappropriate for bus duties over entire mixes, and the EQ curves generated have loads of detail which is superfluous, which can't be smoothed out. Because of the short sampling time one tends to get different results from the same portion of music. I found the group auto EQing functions very interesting, but they would work much better if one could determine the sampling window for each element.
