They actually work alright on my setup my computer isn't that outdated. I just can't get too crazy with it. May have to freeze and flatten them.

Does any laptops let you upgrade the CPU or RAM easily these days without having to take the whole computer apart?

Same experience with my Roland S-1 but i am stuck with 1 instance so Cpu usage doesn't really count in this scenario since every track has to be bounced to Audio before you go to the next sound.

Drumazon2 and Nepheton2 do sound really good though. I love how you can solo say the drum and snare or the high hats on the presets and then it stays locked in when you change presets.

The stab presets on Lush2 are pretty cool. Haven't tried the leads yet though.

this makes a huge difference with Drumazon 2 and Nepheton 2.
I had all the buss fx off in my default preset, but then discovered the master fx section was fully loaded. Switching it all off can make a significant difference, also that my third-party effects are heaps better anyway. Many of the D16 effects in these drum machines are quite average in my opinion. I was a tad disappointed in Nepheton 2 initially, until i realised that some of the internal effects were distracting from the sound.

Yepp, just look at Decimort 2. Ouch.

Nepheton 2 and Drumazon 2 are good (fx disabled)
