What plugins do you prefer for smashing drums for instance on parallel drum bus? Please don't say a reverb haha

I think following compressors are popular
Api, distressor, 1176

My fav is Omnipressor, it smashes drums in a crazy way and makes drums sound very lively and exciting

I have just bought Audiority (Boss) Metal zone and like it on kick drums, also on guitar

Sometimes an amp-like effect from Soundtoys effect rack (Radiator or devil loc)

What else? Amp sims, saturators, clipper, valve/tube/transformer fx, distortion fx or...?

I have tried many things, but my go to is still Live's native Drum bus device. Arturia has this Bus Force plugin that looks interesting.

Some advice: Make sure your drums are nice and punchy to begin with, and not weak, sick and bedridden, only to be cured by a big fat compressor. Also, reverb.

I used to think I needed Drum Smashing.

But smashing my drums only ever made them sound worse in the mix. At least to my ears. So now my favourite way to smash drums is not to. YMMV.

However if I’m going for a less subtle than normal parallel compression style on the drums I quite like using Lindel 80 channel strip with the NUKE setting and a bit of saturation from the ‘preamp’ stage and cutting a good chunk of low mids (300-400 hz usually) with the eq.
