I have had a good end of the year gear wise. Had enough extra $ that I indulged in a short buying spree ( bought a Korg MS2000r, a Korg Wavestation, an Oberheim Matrix 6r and Matrix 1000, all for under $800) Got a good deal on Project 5 (w/Kinetic) and upgraded two of my main software tools Absynth 3 and Sonar 4. Got a few other VSTi along the way Rhino and Cameleon. Got a nifty controller (Remote 25 Audio) and a sequencer monosynth DSI Evolver as well as a few odds and ends here and there. I think I got all the sound generation tools I could possibly need.

So what of the new year? What are your plans for the new year music wise?

Mine will be to upgrade my ailing music pc (been giving me trouble for the past month or so, I think I need to devote some attention to her maladies. I want to try and get a cd released the preliminaries are done. I just need to get off my ass and do it. I also want to get a Ghost Pickup system for this new guitar I am building (perfect for midi) and I got to get me some wheels, I am tired of hoofing it

So what are you hoping for?

Post

Zebra and Filterscape VST OSX versions.(and PC for my girlfriend)

and hoping to have z3ta and rhino in OSX :D (I know, it's not possible).

My initial hopes are to get rid of the still haunting noise in my system. It has held me back on some things I have been meaning to try out (including recording a live CD). Gearwise I'll never be happy and always want more, but with the additions I made this year I think I can go a long way allready.

I have a feeling my first CD is reaching the near finishing point.

As for me myself I hope my date tomorrow will grow to more

Took the words right out of my mouth. I am suppose to be working locally with an artist here on a cd, and has he called........nope.

If I had one true wish it would be to seriously find another local or even remotely close artist to collab with.

Goal for 2005: Finish a few of the dozens of partly-done projects that are lying around. Thanks to several group buys and other nifty opportunities, I'm as well equipped for this as I'll need to be.

Goal for 2005-2009: Try out all the sounds in Sonik Synth 2.

This will be the year of the Virus TI and finally figuring out how to do a show with Ableton. Cubase SX was not so fun on stage...

I also hope progressive breaks catch on more so people will listen to our stuff.
