I purchased Polyverse Comet during Black Friday which is pretty nicely weird. Morphing between presets is fun but as with similar reverb plugins, doing this kinda trickery usually gets lost in the mix. It's also quite CPU heavy so probably not something I'll use much. For $29, it was worth it.

I like reasons reverb. You can probably do some weird stuff with that and Malstrom

TENS can quickly get super weird in a good way if you play around with the LFOs in the drop down panel

I haven't had a crash but twice it's blasted me with with supremely loud noise when changing presets. That's an insta-delete from me which is too bad because it sounds *really* good when it's working as intended. I'll revisit it after it's had an update.bmanic wrote: Sun Nov 19, 2023 5:40 pmThis is an absolutely SUPERB reverb! Wow!! Never even heard of the company before so this really blew me away. Thank you so much for mentioning it here!Korg Supporter wrote: Sun Nov 19, 2023 6:15 am This came out recently, and it's only $15 https://shift-line.com/astronautplugin!
This really deserves it's own thread or something. It's basic skynet algorithms are really unique yet good and useful sounding. Superb for pretty much exactly what one would imagine, creating a vast swathe of space around a source! Having tremendous fun just playing simple synth sounds through it. Lovely reverb tail and decay.
EDIT: Warning, this plugin is quite prone to crashing. I've had it crash on me now multiple times so it's not good enough at this moment to use reliably. Sounds lovely though. I contacted the developer and hopefully we can get it sorted.

Butterfly effect is lush, and kind of unusual.

kind of joke but totally on topic though :
into metasynth (and very likely into coagula for PC owners)
1) Create a white noise files long from so to say, 500ms to 5 seconds long
2) make it pass through the "image filter" room through a fading out white (or yellow in stereo) filter OR load it into a more conventional audio editor to create a fade out into this white noise file
3) THEN load it as it is into a convolution reverb
- you'll be surprised, I can tell you !
...another solution would be to skip second operation and use the volume control of you convolution reverb to create a fade out...of different curves if needed, as an algorithmic weird reverb like phonolyth velvet machine does ...a more versatile solution
have fun !
