Development update: SynthMaster 3 Alpha Rev #14447 is on user area:

This version reads all SynthMaster One factory + expansion presets, and now the sampled noises in SynthMaster One are also in SynthMaster 3. I also created VA Oscillator presets by analyzing the sampled waveforms we have from analog synths

Now remaining tasks until Beta:

1. Ability to load SynthMaster 2 presets

2. Freehand + file spectral filter for wavetable editor: The file filter is especially important. It will analyze spectral envelope of a given wave file, and use that as a wavetable filter. This will lead to really creative synthesis

3. (if time permists) Sliced sample playback algorithms.

kann ich jetzt auch testen. Vielen Dank. SM3 wird ein ganz besonderer VST-Synth.

I don't see the alpha in my account. Reading up a bit, it seems you need the everything bundle to get access. So I would need to buy an upgrade of 90 USD (after applying a $49 coupon which is in my account) to get some additional preset packs which are currently $ 6 each and I do not use, as I have a synth to be able to make my own sounds. This in comparison to the 39 Euro Synthmaster 2 cost at PB feels a bit out of proportion to me.

Guess have to wait for the beta. The work that's being done on version 3 looks cool though.

Made use of the very generous Everything Bundle offer. Thanx for that.

Used SM2 quite a lot in the past but so many choice of synths nowadays

Will check out SM3, seems very promising.

Hopefuly this weekend we will add the SynthMaster 3 product page to our website. That will allow users who don't want to upgrade to Everything Bundle a change to upgrade to SM3

The prices will be (during our Winter Sale that lasts until Jan 14)

SM3 new license : $69
Upgrade from SM2 or SM1+SM2 bundle: $29
Upgrade from SM1: $49
Upgrade from SM2 Player: $59

FYI: SM3 license includes a license for SM2 as well.

Yep. It will stay at that price point until the 60th day from the official release of the product

The spectral filters in the wavetable editor now allow freehand drawing of spectrums. This opens the door to really interesting vocoding / resynthesis effects -> The next step will be drag-n-drop a sample file, calculate its spetral envelope and use it as the spectral filter:

Wie viele Factory-Presets, die die zusätzlichen Klangmöglichkeiten von SM3 zeigen, sind geplant?
Die Factory-Presets von SM1 und SM2 hat man schon, die wären in SM3 nicht so interessant.

Die Kombination von verschiedenen Presets von SM1 mit mehreren Layern erzeugt spannende Klänge. Bin gespannt, was beim Kombinieren raus kommt, wenn auch die Presets von SM2 gelesen werden. Freue mich schon auf die nächste Version und hoffe, das diese ein wenig stabiler ist. Habe einige Abstürze beim Erstellen von Klängen gehabt. Leider kann man im Spreadsheat for bugs keine Screenshots beifügen, dies würde die Erklärung von Bugs leichter machen.

It looks like it's going to be a technical marvel but please please pleeeease include some good-looking modern dark skins. That's the only thing stopping me using Synthmaster 2 as much as I thought I would - it's an amazing synth but I just don't find it inspiring to look at.

We will release SynthMaster 3 with at least 500 new factory presets. and hoping to reach 1000 presets (factory + expansion)

SM3 can not read SM2 presets yet, I am working on it. The errors you see for SM1 presets will be fixed as well.
