I own the following perpetual licenses, according to my account dashboard:
Cluster Delay, Current, Fuse Compressor, Morph EQ, Rift, Rift Feedback Lite, and Rift Filter Lite.

You say that I can unlock the perpetual license for Swarm Reverb with my store credit. What store credit do you mean? Are you referring to this?

Then I guess I don´t have any credits. But why? I updated my FX bundle with the Current Bundle, a perpetual license and didn´t receive any credits for it?
Sorry but this whole system is anything but transparent.

So, I will ask again and I would like to get a simple yes or no reply, please:
Will Swarm Reverb still be available with no restrictions in my account for download and use when my subscription expires?
Afaik, if you have bought the perpetual license of Current you get one year free as if you would have the All Access plan... which obviously don´t have...
You just get the credits if you own the "real All Access" plan... not if you have "just" the free one year gift.
Thanks, this is so confusing..
So, the answer to my question is no. I won´t be able to use Swarm Reverb after this free year.
And to get store credits, I need what? To buy the all access pass for one year? For what if I already own the perpetual Current and the FX bundle? (except Swarm Reverb and Hybrid Filter)

Isn´t it better for me to upgrade my FX Bundle for $29 instead of paying.. how much for the All Pass?
I mean, even I they release 10 new effects, I won´t ever own a perpetual license for them which means I can´t use them after one year and fall into their subscription trap?
Its over for Bitwig--CUBASE WON !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you're on the Current All-Access plan then it's already added to your account, you can unlock it perpetually with your store credits at any point if you cancel.

Apologies for the confusion. I looked back at the first comments and I think we assumed you were paying for Current All Access when you asked about your subscription ending.

You will not be able to download or use plugins that you do not own perpetually after your free year of All Access expires.

Just to clarify, the credit system is so users can purchase whatever perpetual licenses they want while they're paying for All Access. That way the money they spend on the plan still goes towards being able to own products, and they won't have to stay signed up to use them. There's more info about this on the Current page and here: https://www.minimal.audio/current-all-access. Hope that helps :)

Sorry but this is still confusing. Yes, I bought the Current one time, perpetual license, not the All Access plan. I bought this plan, only because I assumed I could use the plugins permanently.

From your pricing plan site:
Perpetual owners also receive a free year of Current All Access, which includes unlimited in-app downloads from expansion packs, and instant access to all of Current´s effects as individual plugins as they are available.
Not a single word there to read that buyers will NOT be able to download or use plugins after the free year of All Access expires. This is so misleading.

And the text right next to my account dashboard displays:

Current Rent-To-Own All-Access:
Software:
Hybrid Filter and Swarm Reverb

And now I have to pay 68.50 for Smart Reverb and Hybrid Filter on top of the 199 bucks I paid for Current perpetual.

If I knew that, I would have never bought Current but stayed with my FX bundle and updated it whenever a new effect was released. I was under the impression that the free year of this 'Fake' All Access plan included perpetual licenses for the effects added during this period.

Sorry if I sound ranty, but I'm a bit frustrated because I'm starting to realize this isn't a really transparent plan structure. I seem to have missed the entire discussion in the other thread, if there was one, about the pricing.

I don´t know where it was stated exactly but actually it was quite clear, that as a perpetual owner you don´t get everything for free afterwards but just for the one year they gave you as a gift...

User of the All Access plan lose the access of everything they do not buy with their credits as well if they stop the plan... that´s the way it is...

All the back and forth in the first weeks might have caused this confusion though...

I don't feel like it's the company's fault that you have a hard time reading and processing information that includes more than two variables.

I know you aren't the only one. People in general seem really challenged by even minimally complex logic chains, but the information on the website is clear and accurate and has been all along.

No, it's not. And I explicitly described why it's not clear. If you'd've cared to read my post thoroughly, you wouldn't have dropped such a dumb response

The curse called "subscriptions"... will people ever learn to avoid them?

Being one for getting the best deal, I'm also confused by this system, even with regards to perpetual licenses.

I don't own Current, Hybrid Filter & Swarm Reverb and am eyeing up the Current Bundle (upgrade). Though I'm unsure if the price would be different between purchasing the bundle now (+3 products), or buying Swarm Reverb at the discounted price, THEN upgrading to the Current bundle (+2 products). Would there even be a difference between the total?

To be fair, I don't envy whoever has to create this complicated system. The thing I'm missing is whether the bundle discount stacks with the number of products owned, for example like Fabfilter does?

Merry Christmas.

I am in the same position as you and have just bought swarm for 29. My price has gone down overall by 34 something so actually slightly better than before buying swarm. I see the filter now also to buy for 34 so might pick that up. I think it was more than 34 before I purchased swarm though….
My upgrade now stands at 173.60 for current and Hybrid filter.

Thanks for that information. I really appreciate it. Appears that the discount does stack somewhat. :tu:

Idk, for me the price model and how it works it actually quite clear...

I like the products of Minimal Audio, I understand what to buy, how to buy and what I´ll get...
To what I´ve seen it was just one person claiming about confusion... why are you trying to generalise it??

People talking about what might be the best option to do (buying the individual plugin while on sale or something different) is a another story and nothing negative...
