ahja quoth whyterabbyt, thank you for completely mangeling and twisted every word I said.
My interpretation of your comments is based on the empirical sum of the context you have displayed. If you are unhappy with the context you present, I disagree that I am to blame for that fact.
However, you should prehaps consider that if my interpretation of your intent, your attitude, and your meaning are that easily misconstrued, given that they are addressed in situ and in local context, then your blanket statements and assumptions about the intent, attitude, meaning, method et.c. of the work of a large numbers of people's work in your original post and subsequent followups is far more grievously flawed and unsubstantiated.

I knew this thread was gonna be a bit touchy. That is why I kept mentioning, "I dont mean to offened anyone", in my original post. My intentions where to point out the obvious and common practices in the genre, while not pointing fingers, which I have not done.Sicklecell666 wrote:And you fail to see the significance of several of us interpreting what you've said in almost the exact same way?ahja wrote:Agreed, sure. C'mon man..this thread was an instigation & you know it..Why back down now?
You are focusing on what this thread was NOT suppose to be about...

ahja interpretting it in the most negative way possible.
Careful you're not crushed beneath a huge weight of irony on that one.
c.f. your first post in this thread.

Why would anyone feel the need to point out the obvious? Even I, with an IQ in the region of three, can usually see the obvious without it being pointed out.
Still, thanks ever so much for the favor.
Dismissed, a second (and final) time.

Never pointed blame here whyterabbyt. And I respect your point of views, just as anyones. I do think everyone is focusing on what is not my opinion but common methods of ambient productions. I'm just the one pointing it out, and bringing it to surface.whyterabbyt wrote:ahja quoth whyterabbyt, thank you for completely mangeling and twisted every word I said.

ahja quoth
I knew this thread was gonna be a bit touchy. That is why I kept mentioning, "I dont mean to offened anyone", in my original post.
As in 'I dont mean to offend anyone, but Im hearing lots of bad music by lazy people who just want to be cool here'.
Ah right.
My intentions where to point out the obvious and common practices in the genre, while not pointing fingers, which I have not done.
Ah, yes. Generalisations and stereotypes are always acceptable as long as you dont point fingers.
You are focusing on what this thread was NOT suppose to be about...
No we're focussing on what you dont want it to be about, ie your prejudices.

Please provide proof that it is common, that it is done to be 'cool', and that there is an increasing amount of music produced here that is done that way by people with that aim.

Its fairly obvious, isn't it? ... and please, I'm not speaking of KVR alone, actually that is just a very small fraction of it. Go to the record shops and see how large the ambient section has grown the past few years. Go look on online music sites ... and look how many ambient producers suddenly appeared.whyterabbyt wrote:ahja quoth I do think everyone is focusing on what is not my opinion but common methods of ambient productions. Ambient like other genres have totally different meaning of said genre.
Ambient to me, is beautiful, sad, strong, soft etc. It envokes an emotion. The drone type is also ambient to some. Are we going to make this thread 12 pages?
