Sorry to hear people pm'd you just to insult you. That's unnecessary. I thought you were referring to me when you said you were attacked here (just felt like someone was being belittled a bit for not having perfect English). Very surprising to hear that multiple people would pm insults though. That doesn't help.

Anyways, have a I mentioned how much I'd love to use Icarus 3 vst3 with my seaboard? Would be killer!

Yes, same with my LinnStrument, Erae Touch or Sensel. To be killer MPE would be mandatory though…

MPE with VST2 is already supported.
MPE with VST3 will also be supported. We were able to make it work in Cubase, Bitwirg, Reaper. Further tests are running. Please keep in mind that not all DAWs support MPE with VST3 - mainly because of technical restictions of Steinberg's VST3 format or filtering of the Midi channel information.

Yes. If you purchase now you'll receive a key for Icarus 2.x and one key for Icarus 3.x.

Why is the drive and vol reversed for filter 2? None of the other controls are reversed in filter 2. A little disorienting.

Because the drive knob is linked to the distortion type tab selector in the GUI. Take a close look and you'll see the wide dark grey line behind the knob that connects to it.

Will the Icarus 3 VST3 be independent from the VST2? Currently it seems the VST2 must be installed in order to use the VST3, and also I have to have the VST2 directory scanned in my DAW in order to use the VST3. Icarus is the only reason I have the VST2 directory visible by my DAW, and would rather not if possible. Would be cool if the VST3 was fully independent. Just a little request.

Will the MS-20 filter be based on the Rev1 or Rev2 version? IIRC, the former is OTA while the latter is Sallen Key. It would be nice to have both.

You never did have the vst2 directory to be scanned by your DAW for running any Tone2 VST3 plugin. Follow these steps on the installation for a VST3 only installation:
1) In the installer choose 'full installation'
2) select "C:\Program Files\Tone2\Icarus" as the path in the installer. Do not reference this path in your DAW for scanning plugins.
3) Optionally delete IcarusX64.exe if you do not want the standalone.

Please note: Unlike competing plugin formats Steinberg's VST3 format does not offer full Midi support.

Ah ok, I just used the default before I think but this works, thanks. Still would be cool to have a VST3 only option (that's what I usually pick), but this works fine, cheers.

Are there any big differences between the unison modes on Electra3, Icarus2 (or 3), and Warlock - Electra3 doesn't seem to have the "stereo hypersaw" that Warlock and Icarus have. And Warlock only has one 7x mono unison mode, while it seems Electra3 and Icarus have both a Hyper (Virus) and Super (JP) variant. They have slightly different names in each so I was curious

The unison modes on the various Tone2 synths are some of the best around, Electra3 in particular.
