Never said there was a conspiracy, Peter, I pointed out that a thread had been deleted and speculated whether you/ your employer had requested it. That’s what it looked like to me.

And even if my speculation were correct it wouldn’t have been a conspiracy, just a request and a response.

well whatever happened, peter saw it, and has given some help, so the deleted post is immaterial. it did what was needed

the important thing is the people who need the software can get it :)

Post

He wrote of me of suggesting conspiracy. I didn’t. That part isn’t immaterial to me.

Good to see they’re looking to make drivers available and not tied to a user.

Hopefully just an oversight. A big one, but oversight all the same.

Yeah....no. Still the usual IK BS.....The supposed "link" to the AXE I/O drivers and control software just re-directs you to the dld page of the IK Product Manager. Like most of their other links. WTF IK will not host them DIRECTLY on site, (like ALL other comapnies that sell hardwrare audio interfaces), is beyond me. But not at all surprising....just tediously typical.

I just bought a Used AXE I/O (2in/5out) I am now discovering how hard it is to get the drivers, firmware updates, and control software for it. Any chance someone can pm them to me as well? :)

BTW, I'm wondering if anyone has bothered to look into this stuff legally. I also do a lot with IT Tech related stuff, and in the tech world there's a lot of laws and regulations around right to repair. The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act says companies can't restrict customers access to repair information. I may not be a lawyer, but I would argue that the unit is broken without the drivers. And the Drivers (Literal Digital Information) is the repair information that IK is restricting access to.

Well.....ethically I'm in total agreement with you but good luck suing an Italian company for your "right to repair". It also brings to mind the greed of Apple and their "cloudlock" BS. I'm also a professional IT tech. One of my clients inherited various Apple devices from his brother who was in the military and died in a 'copter crash. Even tho my client was the legal owner of these devices and a relative, Apple basically told him to piss up a rope because he was not the ORIGINAL owner. Maybe they would have unlocked the devices at the requeat of my client's dead brother's ghost. They claim it's for security. I call BS. It's to sell more devices plain and simple. Corporate greed at it's worst. The end result is that MILLIONS of, otherwise functional, devices end up in the landfills. Not to good for the planet.

In any case, back to IK and THEIR corporate greed and lack of support. I'll send you a link for that stuff. See your PM.

Happy New Year!

Thanks a bunch! Yeah, it's all a pain in the ass with these corporations and their greed. I think it's the young rebel in me that still wants to fight against it, there has to be something holding them in check. Unfortunately laws become useless when the politicians that write them can be so easily bought and lobbied with.

I can connect ok.....but I've heard numerous reports of users having poblems with IK's website. Maybe they're migrating to new servers....that's not uncommon at the start of a new year.

not what i was hoping to see on such a recent post. i was hoping they had made it easy to download by now but google led me here. i bought the full size axe io used from guitar center and although some said it will work fine with no drivers or software i cant get tonex or amplitube to recognize it. i've been playing tag with their support for a couple of days and was hoping to just find it with google rather than chew through my return period waiting to be asked if i tried rebooting and to try other usb cables and ports.
