In the GS thread is a lot of talk about instability, and compatibility issues. I'd wait at least some months until it shows the developer is committed to fixing the problems.
The idea is good indeed. Having pro tools like features in every DAW.

Trying it, and can say it works well on Logic M1. So fardermage wrote: Sat Oct 29, 2022 1:59 pm In the GS thread is a lot of talk about instability, and compatibility issues. I'd wait at least some months until it shows the developer is committed to fixing the problems.

CPU overhead seems negligible as well.
However:
- Mono version is weird. Plugins still load as stereo inside a mono instance, which is redundant
- no Mono > Stereo version, so you have to externally do Mono > Stereo.

For me it works pretty well for the most part, seems to be sensitive to file permissions under windows, depending on your setup. For me, it would lose a few plugins it had difficulty scanning, stuff like that. Selectively running it as admin has any issues sorted for me pretty much. So far anyway. The anonymous dev thing is kinda strange.

I have it and have been using it with various plugins and its been good so far. Very useful tool for sure!

So , who is still using this ?
...Any thoughts ....after some time using it
How is stability on Apple Silicon Mac's nowadays ?
...does it speed upp your workflow and/ or giving other advantages ?
How is the CPU usage ?
.....Many thanks in advance
and also , how does the DEV feel , responsive or..?
(I'm working in Ableton and Logic, and hoping to use/create chains , that I easily can recall in both DAW''s, and also be able to bypass multiple fx at once for easy A/B comparison.)

This dev doesn't respond at all afaik, tho I think they prob don't speak english like god intended (j/k of course about the english anyway).
Seems like they communicate via plugin boutique mostly. E.g. they will talk to them but not you.
I can't say I've tried to contact them personally tho.

What functionality can this do that Metaplugin can't? Not a sarcastic question - genuinely interested.dermage wrote: Sat Oct 29, 2022 2:54 pm I'm hoping ddmf expand their super or metaplugin by this functionality. Or audiogridder. I would happily support them

MP can't link/group plugins, so moving one parameter on one plugin, moves the same parameter on the other. This is also possible in ProTools for example.MogwaiBoy wrote: Mon Jan 01, 2024 4:32 amWhat functionality can this do that Metaplugin can't? What Ploki explained as leader/follower.
Also MP's GUI unfortunately is very basic and not workflow optimized. The browser is at times very slow/hard to navigate. Colors/elements look like begin of 90s era GUIs.
The KSHMR chain especially is organized like an Insert stack, very optimized for this workflow, which MP lacks.

It should apparently by default support also 32bit plugins (judging by the presence of PluginScanner32.exe/PluginProbe32.exe and PluginScanner64.exe/PluginProbe64.exe in its ProgramData folder), but it does not, no 32bit plugin is ever presented in its browser + in its log file it says on every single 32bit plugin: "BAD PLUGIN"...unfortunately, bah!
Or did I understood it wrongly and those files actually means/are intended for some other usage?

If you need to contact them, I would suggest you try going through Plugin Boutique.
