discoDSP wrote: Wed Jan 03, 2024 10:56 pm No worries if you’re not wowed by the demo. Seems like you might be better off keeping your money for something else. Maybe next time we’ll have something that’s more up your alley!
I won't hold my breath. :D

But was anyone really 'wowed' by that sound demo? :?
I will take the Lord's name in vain, whenever I want. Hail Satan! And his little goblins too.

I’m glad to see that you’ve momentarily dropped the AI aided responses. Please continue. 🙂

I’m drinking now. Have to forget that public offense. :(

That goblin will hear from my lawyers... :drunk:

DJErmac wrote: Wed Jan 03, 2024 9:05 pm My honest thinking is that this synh would probably be a no-brainer at $39 or so. It’s a very, very old soft synth, with a meh but recognizable sound (and this always brings something to a mix), and it should never be priced anywhere near the flagship products that came after and offer way more for the same price or even lower. For this price you can get one (or two if you wait) modern emulation everybody’s talking about or a modern powerhouse with granular and resampling and oscillators galore.
I’ll buy Discovery Pro when it’s priced like it should be : a legacy software.
At the moment I can buy whatever I want. And I don’t buy Discovery Pro, simply because of its price tag. This synth might find its use in my colllection, I remember liking some of the presets, but the price is simply crazy for what you get. I hope for you that most users don’t think just like me.
Sorry, just a honest opinion. You’re free to care or not.
Buy yourself some ears goblin. It would be a no-brainer at 340$. Go buy serum instead of whinig Mr. Dorito’s.
Why should he buy himself ears when he is sport on? And what is wrong with "whining" when he is correct?.... Buy yourself a life at 680$ and do us all a favour :)
Everyone here is complaining about price. Everyone here know that this thing sounds like a beast, otherwise no one would be complaining about anything.
You all want to buy the upgrade but you are a bunch of goblin beggers with pitchforks hoping and praying for a surrender of the dev selling his loved product for peanuts.

Respect yourself.
You are seriously not joking me, are you?.... "Sound like a beast" ?
So v7 is crap compared to v8 in other words? or?! That explains it all :)

And from where you got "beggars"? After this pathetic thread where a company "massively" uses AI for 80% of the communication (that simply turns out completely wrong), and then defend it with making themself understood?!? Well, I did not exactly get that part. Anyways, I am not begging for a cheap upgrade. I am begging about being treated fair as a customer. Do you see the difference?

You should target "respect yourself" to someone else, not at me.

I got nothing to defend, but DollarD$P _does!_ That is the truth (like it or not).

Tough life, where forums can’t be your personnal advertisement website without users telling their opinion about what’s a fair price nowadays. And so you have to do it all again : back to promotion. Please ignore what’s been said before.

Maybe so, but no one likes it. I prefer the English you just now used with me. It sounds more genuine.

I'm out till I hear from George. Best wishes. Enjoying my $39 Gforce Axxess with 4 free sound packs. Oh, and still enjoying the quality Discovery Pro 7.9. Call me when something "new" hits.

I must be stupid but after demoing V8 vs 7.9 copying midi from track to track I couldn’t hear any difference at all between the two versions.
Am I the only one?
Did I became deaf?
