To help build velocity-layered soundfonts, I wrote a small set of Python scripts that automate a lot of the fussy work between recording and cleaning the samples and having a rough but complete and playable soundfont.
It's nerdware, in that you run it from a DOS command shell.

That would be a DNS problem somewhere in the network, maybe local to your service provider or upstream. Also, it might get better at any time.
