Really too bad about the lack of MPE. “In this day and age”, support for per-note expression is pretty much table stakes. And that certainly puts a damper on the whole “Ultimate Expression” claim.

(I’m a sax player transitioning from windcontrollers to MPE ones, especially Intuitive Instruments’s Exquis.)

With MPE it would be so much more expressive… The sounds are nice, but not in the ballpark of other PM synths…

This one looks like another winner.

Lots of good work here, like the Pitch Bend Sus feature, and yes, so strange to create such an expressive engine while not involving MPE…But again LOTS of good things it seems (like the feedback system, harmonics etc). This feeling without having experimented it yet, will obviously try it now

agreed, it´s interesting.
did not took me long though, to see that some important parameters have a not exactly very refined parameter resolution, vs. "small" amounts. Which gives "me" the feel that the maker is not so deep into all this. Yet, he IS a musician. So there´s something weird to me. It feels un-outbaken.
similar to newer elektron Boxes who just don´t have a very fine resolution on the attack vs. the ADSR.
Which is also weird. Why would one not perfectionise these small, yet super important details ?


I´d suspect if they´d just thrown it to the market for $49, initial, it would have been a win-win.

need to have a better look. Hope i can install presets....they´ve not installed.
It´s cool. but i´m not impressed so far (while not having any presets). but not $99 cool, ....and also barely those $75 cool, for what it´s to be had at uncle Es one.

the new modeler won't load. Anyone know why? Installed via the tracktion installer and everything looks to be fine. It shows up in the plugins and license checks are all valid. Attempts to pull it into the track result in message that the plugin is not found (even though it says 'OM' at the top r.h. of the DAW when mouse hovers over the plugin instance (by the volume bay). So it seems to register in all ways except that it will not come up and an error mssg. says 'plugin not found'.
