I would like to know what is the best host withmidi keyboard i've been using frutiy loops for the last year making hip hop music, learnin the basics and now putting together full ensambles. Ive used alot of the other host and just dont get it done like FL for me. I got a keyboard now and would like to see what i was missing if u could hint me to the right host.

I don't get what you're asking for. Do you want a host that has a mini-keyboard GUI included, or do you not care anymore since you now have a real keyboard?

If it's the former, well... any host can be given a keyboard with 3rd party apps, if they don't have one natively.

If it's the latter, ANY host can do it for you. I recommend trying Tracktion because you can get it free right now, but if you're accustomed to Fruity and like it, I can say that Tracktion might not 'do it' for you. Why not just stick to Fruity? It's a very capable host.

you arent missing out on anything except a learning curve. I use FL with my midi keyboard when I want to do alot of "beat" driven music. I use sonar for live recording. I also use the FL dxi in sonar for combining the 2. it pretty much all works teh same no matter what host you have, so I wouldnt change unless you want to experiment with a different type of workflow...
