Ever since I heard CJ Bollands Horsepower the first time in the early 90s, I wanted to know which flanger is used for the iconic sound.
Eventually, I found this info in this interview (20m):
Spoiler: it is a Korg FLG-1. Never heard of this device before.
Used devices now sell for about 60-140€, and apparently no VST plugin emulation is available.
CJ himself states that even with all the technology nowadays, this sound is not possible to recreate (I assume he meant ITB).
Will some developer accept this challenge?
Does someone know a flanger that comes close (preferrably ITB)?
