HOFA IQ-Series Transient. I love that you can direct the transient (or sustain) to a particular frequency.Covers every transient need you could want pretty much. Before that was waves transx just for it's sheer simplicity.I will always use that as a quicker go to if I don't need any more feature wise for a particular thing.

I do and love it. especially using it with low passed around 500 hz which adds a great low/low mid thump to kicks

Btw,I have just been trying Melda MTransient (dead cheap right now) and this one is very decent. It has a "resolution" control with which you can control the character of the "eaten out" portion of the attack.

Bitwig Studio's Transient Split spectral device is quite intriguing. https://www.bitwig.com/de/learnings/get ... evices-226

I’ll add to that and say I use Bitwig’s Transient Control device to shape transients more than any other plugin. Kilohearts transient shaper and ADPTR Audio Sculpt also get a bit of usage as well.kidslow wrote: Tue Jan 09, 2024 2:51 am Bitwig Studio's Transient Split spectral device is quite intriguing. https://www.bitwig.com/de/learnings/get ... evices-226

I've been using - Punctuate , quite a bit lately , even throw a 'smidgeon' 5-10% of it on the master bus. Love the clean sound of it. Very flexible and great sounding.

Most often I use the Neutron Transient Shaper, but Punctuate and the Bitwig splitter are great, too!

impact is all you need.
and i own them all.
actually that's a bit silly
cos they all have different envelopes and either good for enhancing or smoothing attack or sustain.
I often use a couple in serial.

You're right, Impact by Surreal Machines is so good and so easy to use. I love the way the multi-band is just split right there for attack/sustain control on each easily accessible.
