Guys, for those of you experiencing crashes (assuming you installed latest build 14590), let's have a clean start:
1. delete all files under public documents folder:
windows: c:\users\public\public documents\synthmaster3
mac: /users/shared/synthmaster3
2. delete all files under documents folder (EXCEPT SynthMaster3LicenseKey.txt):
windows: <my documents folder>\synthmaster3
mac: <my documents folder>\synthmaster3
Let's see if this helps. Just so you know, I tested the VST3 with:
Reaper
FL Studio
Bitwig
Cubase
EDIT: I got an error with FLStudio VST3 in a subsequent run. Had to do with Program Change messages. Fixed (There's only program change on channel 1, no other channels) and released 14591

Weiter viel Erfolg.

Some guitar manufacturers add a switch knob on the guitar to simulate trance gate effect, just on-off.
Why this option have to be so complicated and time consuming, every developer do it's own way, especially for newbies is really hard to learn how to use it,when a simple on-off sequencer on the output end of the workflow would be so much more easy and intuitive?
Just curious why nobody do it,not a criticism or demand
:):)
Cheers:)

Who needs a trancegate, when you have Step LFO?

Hello.
I'm enjoying SM3 attempting to produce SM3 track for the current OSC.
So far I found it stable in Reaper.
I'm trying to reconstruct some presets from SM2. How to achieve Modulator1+Modulator2 in SM3?
Have to say, that sometimes it's hard to draw connections between modules in the routing window. Somehow hard to pick up the pinpoint.
Let me also comment on GUI. In general, I like SM2 GUI more. But similarly to SM2, I have hard moments finding relationships between parameters and their modulators. I know I can check them using RMB or Matrix but still... Have no idea how it could be done better. Surge provides a glance view for that, but it has all operators on one screen.
On top of that:
1. In SM2, a value of the parameter being changed is constantly shown and updated in the information window (top center). The current value can be also inspected by hovering over a knob. In SM3 there those values are shown in pop-ups only. After a time it starts to be annoying (I mean the inability to inspect a value at a glance)
2. Comparing to SM2, Some knobs in SM3 have been moved to dedicated sub-tabs. Ie some parameters of LFO or drift/keytrack in oscillators. It results in more clicks. Not sure about motivation because it seems there might be enough space for those knobs to be shown all together. Hope it's only a matter of theming.
Again, thank you for your work.
I appreciate SM3 is free for all bundle owners with early access.

I am going to make it easier to pick ports in the routing view. You can connect multiple modulators into an osc input. They will all be added :maxym.srpl wrote: Wed Jan 10, 2024 9:33 am I'm trying to reconstruct some presets from SM2. How to achieve Modulator1+Modulator2 in SM3?

To see modulation sources for a knob, just as in SM2, click on the knob. The matrix will display modulation sources for that target parameter (Filter 1 Freq). SM3, just as in SM2, displayes parameters with assigned sources with highlights to indicate that they have modulation sources.
SM2 oscillators/modulators have Drift/Keytrack tabs as well. The UI for oscillators/modulator did not change. For LFOs, to be able to display the LFO envelope, I moved the envelope parameters to a new tab. (so yes there was a purpose in adding a new tab)maxym.srpl wrote: Wed Jan 10, 2024 9:33 am Hello.

Maybe something to look at;
In the vector OSC there seems to be an issue with the Y-axis control. It doesn't seem to do anything in the '2D' setting. '1D' works as expected. (version 14591 of SM3, vst2, vst3)

Can not reproduce. Y Axis knob works as expected in 1D/2D modesexmatproton wrote: Thu Jan 11, 2024 9:01 am In the vector OSC there seems to be an issue with the Y-axis control. It doesn't seem to do anything in the '2D' setting. '1D' works as expected. (version 14591 of SM3, vst2, vst3)
