You should do a “vintage” mode for the Blue Face that swaps in the germanium transistor.
THIS MUSIC HAS BEEN MIXED TO BE PLAYED LOUD SO TURN IT UP

Yep, germanium mode has been long in discussion since 2018 release of Blue Face, but in 5 years it never came to materialize, which is a bummer. Low sales to blame? Because it's not a complicated circuit, Fuzz Face. It's nothing like Boss FZ-2. It certainly didn't need 5 years to do, yet it never came to be for whatever reason. Probably sales to blame for the low motivation to do it.

I also greatly anticipated Sovtek Muff as an alternative color to Big Goat, but looking at the prices, original Sovtek Civil War going for 1K$- 1K$ plus atm, I'm not really counting on that to happen. Quite the expense.

If people were more active and asked for Sovtek Civil War plugin more specifically, maybe the call would be finally heard. From all the clips I heard of Civil War, it's the pedal of dreams, really.

But our best chance is Green Russian, I think.

I wonder what the new Helix Dark Dove fuzz algorithm really is. Green Russian Pi Reissue? It's nice, but I still would like to have a standalone plugin for more efficiency across DAW setups. And the vintage Sovtek would be definitely preferable to modern EHX reissues, which are nice, but still no patch on the originals.

But in all honesty, over the years I grew weary waiting for new fuzzes and muffs from Audiority. Lots of promises, but nothing from any of that has materialized in years.

Right now I'm more interested in new modulations: CE-2, BF-2, MXR M117 and Stereo PolyChorus (the vintage 80's one, also damn friggin' expensive!).

On second thought, a real complement to HM-2 would be Boss MZ-2. Don't dismiss it because of ridiculously cheesy name Boss Digital Metalizer. Chorus part of MZ-2 is kind of a cheesy digital 80's chorus, but the analog distortion part is bloody terrific.

I'm currently looking at a couple rather lucrative MZ-2 listings for around 200$ on Reverb atm, think I shall go for the hardware direct, instead of waiting years for someone to do an emulation. Temptations, temptations..
