Yeah, I'm aware what I did could cause complications during an update, but I fixed it once and I can fix it again if I need to.

Thanks to McLilith I got Outersect Modeler to work. I used a variation of that approach though, leaving the VST3 files intact and simply pointing out the various file paths to the VST3 scanner in the Settings section of the DAW. I also had to manually point out the filepath to the Content, then run a rescan and voila, Traction automatically took care of the rest. Works great now, and this little booger is so cool! The feedback and harmonic picks are a blast. Thanks, McL!

I'm happy to hear you got it working and you like the synth.
I do think the installer for this synth is a bit broken though. Not only did we have to modify things to make it work, but the installer also installed AAX files on my system without even asking me first. I'd much rather it didn't do that. I have no use for AAX plugins.
Out of curiosity, I just checked the folder for those plugins, and I have over 6 GB of unused AAX plugins wasting space on my SSD drive! Apparently, lots of other plugins have also been installing AAX versions without asking me first!

I think when I installed the trial, they still had baked-in text saying 30 days, but then showed 8 days iirc. I think it was OM.Ou_Tis wrote: Mon Jan 08, 2024 4:14 pm Seems like they were rushing to get this out a few weeks before Dawesome releases their synth Myth (which incorporates some physical modeling, though I'm not sure about the details) during NAMM and so didn't adequately beta test. Especially unfortunate since the trial only lasts 7 days... maybe they'll extend it?

I had gotten it working one time by moving the VST file around. When I went back to the computer the next day, it didn't work again.
I was happy to see the update today, but it didn't seem to solve the problem. I still see the plug-in in the list and I can place it on a track, but it immediately shows an error icon and the hover language says plug in not available or whatever.
Anyone else still having issues?
Waveform pro, Windows 11

Anyone having issues loading the plugin or the presets in Live 11 on Windows 11? Trying to decide when to start demoing. If it loads one day so I can start the 7 day trial and then stops loading... that won't be good. I'll probably want to spend a lot of time demoing it.

Aside from being absolutely baffled by the entirely undocumented (website or manual) naming of the vst as "om" rather than something one might actually look for, I've had no issues with it at all, standalone or VST.

The one thing I see that the update did for Windows 11 is it moved it from my main user folder in the c drive, to the public user folder in the c drive.
This information has not helped me yet.

Okay, waveform pro, Windows 11.
Okay, I have to say something as I've gone over this so many times I've close to lost track of what all I have done to get it to work.
It is possible that the update worked and slid modeler in as the name, and I was so focused on OM, that I didn't notice it. But I swear every time I scanned, I didn't see a blip previously. I noticed the blip when modeler was added this time.
Anyway, fair warning that the following instructions may be unnecessary. Also, this may be essentially what has been posted before, but I am so done with the back and forth and ready to just try the damn plug-in I'm not going to check.
For me, I found that the VST3 file was also located in the C program files common files VST3 folders. I had been focusing on the avid plug-in folder.
Even after the update, nothing with the avid folder worked.
The C program files common files vst3 folder is the "working folder" for the following actions.
Go to the working folder, where you will find a folder named, OM.vst3, you want to rename this folder. I renamed this folder OMb.vst3 (you can change it how you like, perhaps.)
In the working folder, there should be a loose file, OM.vst3. if you don't see this file, go into your recently renamed OM folder through to the x86_64-win folder and you will find that file.
Cut or copy this file and go back and paste it into the working folder.
Go to C users public public documents OM folder
Cut or copy the OM folder. (Contains bodies and patches).
Paste the OM folder into the working folder.
Inside tracktion waveform, Go to the settings tab, and go to plugins at the bottom of the left hand side and click it.
Make sure you have the "working folder" set in the scan for VST 3 plugins dialog.
Scan for vst3
"Modeler" will show up now in that plugins list, as well as "OM".
Modeler is what we want.

Is it just waveform, where so many plugins have that ringing after effect or they don't stop shimmering?
So far, modeler has that noisy shimmery thing going on even when it's not being played.

That must have been a very early version of it, not a demo of the plugin as it exists now....Spire42 wrote: Wed Jan 10, 2024 11:06 pm I'm confused about something.
If this plugin was just released a few days ago, how is it that the is dated June 11, 2016?
(Unless playing it lets you travel through time---or hack Youtube... "mystical vibrations" (or feedback at least) indeed)

The Modeler was originally an add-on product for the Kyma Capybara by Symbolic Sound - a very expensive hardware product that has now been discontinued
